AXEL KIRSCH, D.M.D.Dr. Axel Kirsch is an internationally recognized pioneer in the field of perio-implant-prosthetics. For the past 30 years, Dr. Kirsch’s experimental and clinical experience has resulted in the development of the IMZ Implant System. Dr. Kirsch and his interdisciplinary team of experts developed and tested the Camlog Implant System both experimentally and clinically since 1995. His current clinical research is centered on the field of hard- and soft-tissue management for reliable implant-prosthetic rehabilitations.

Course Objectives• Basics on teamwork, patient evaluation, treatment planning, biological

aspects, case classification and procedures of hard- and soft-tissue management.

• Case presentations according to the case classification scheme presented. Esthetic issues and complex multi-stage treatments,

including prosthetics.• Cases with removable appliances.

• Questions from the audience to further issues – these will be discussed with example cases from Dr. Kirsch’s case collection.

The lecture will be highly interactive and will enable the audience to classify a case and to define the appropriate treatment sequence.

LEON CHEN, D.M.D., M.S.For the past 20 years, Dr. Leon Chen has been known as the inventor of Hydraulic Sinus Condensing (HSC) technique, a minimally invasive sinus lift technique recognized as a gold standard. He was the first clinician to utilize EMD for root coverage and sinus lift. Chen also developed the flapless sinus, 5-in-1 immediate loading technique, vertical augmentation without block, and the most difficult task “lingual augmentation.” Now he is developing a procedure and instrumentation that will revolutionize complicated implant cases into simplified cases, called the Hydraulic Membrane Lift (HML) with navigation. Dr. Chen is a founder of Dental Implant Institute World, known as a top facility in both implant treatment and education throughout the world. A Harvard dental graduate and Northwestern periodontist, Dr. Chen is now a visiting faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania. A consultant to numerous implant and publishing companies, Dr. Chen holds more than 30 patents and trademarks for surgical instruments, bone, implant navigation software, and implant prosthodontic parts and fixtures.

Moderate-to-Advanced Bone Grafting• Ramus Bone Harvesting

• Anterior Mandible Bone Harvesting• Managing the Deficient Posterior Mandible

Course Objectives:This session is designed to provide an intense and comprehensive

understanding of advanced bone grafting techniques for dental implants. The course emphasizes the use of autogenous bone and

discusses the details of harvest from the mandibular symphysis, ramus for onlay and sinus bone grafting. The course also reviews patient diagnoses,

treatment planning, recipient site preparation, platelet-rich plasma, soft tissue grafting, complications,

provisional prostheses, and pharmacology.

CRAIG M. MISCH, D.D.S., M.D.S.Dr. Craig Misch has been practicing and teaching implant dentistry for more than 20 years. He is an advisor to implant manufacturers and an honored member of numerous dental organizations, including Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is the developer of the Ramus Harvesting technique. This procedure allows for immediate loading, thus cutting healing time in half and eliminating concerns about possible disease transmission.
