e Master of Science in Operations Research program is designed to
enable students to concentrate their studies in methodological areas such
as mathematical programming, stochastic models, and simulation. e department oers a variety of
domain specic courses in areas including logistics, supply chain
management, revenue management, nancial engineering, risk
management, entrepreneurship, and general management.
“Our world-class faculty teaches and mentors students in a stimulating academic environment. We are very proud of our graduates, many of
whom become leaders in industry and academia. Operations Research is an applied science, and is concerned with quantitative decision making, generally involving the allocation and control of
limited resources. Such problems arise, for example, in the operations of industrial rms, nancial institutions, health care organizations,
transportation systems, energy and resources, and government.”-Professor Cli Stein, IEOR Department Chair
