Program

The Electrical Engineering (EE) Department is the first

academic department within the College of Engineering,

at the University of Hail. The bachelor program in

electrical engineering started with the beginning of the

academic year 1425/1426 H (2005/2006) and the first

batch was awarded a bachelor's degree in electrical

engineering in 1428 - 1429H (2008-2009).

The Electrical Engineering Department offers the Master

of Science program in Electrical Engineering. The

program is designed to meet the latest trends in the field

of electrical engineering according to the vision of Saudi

Arabia 2030.

The Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering

Program is available with the (thesis) option and offers

specialization in two areas of concentration:

1- Power and electrical machines

2- Communications and electronics

The student must complete at least 32 Credit Hours,

including the master's thesis.

Program

Program Goals

1. Providing specialized programs for electrical engineers.

2. Developing the fields of production and services in the

Kingdom.

3. Connecting the university with industrial and technical

sectors in joint research programs.

4. Encouraging scientific and applied research, especially

related to the requirements of development in the

Kingdom, and in line with Vision 2030.

Conditions of admission to the program

1. General conditions according to the unified regulations

for postgraduate studies in Saudi universities

2. Special requirements:

The applicant must pass the acceptance test which

is prepared by the department.

Pass the English Language Test (IELTS) at a rate of

at least 5 or the equivalent of the approved tests. Studying supplementary courses if necessary.

Any other conditions deemed appropriate by the

Department, approved by the Department Council,

the College Council and the Deanship of Graduate

Studies Council.

Program Requirements

In order to obtain a Master's of Science program in

Electrical Engineering at the University of Hail, the

student must successfully complete the study courses and

thesis which consists of 32 credit hours, and graduation

requirements include the following:

1. (3) Credit hours of general elective courses.

2. (9) Credit hours of specialized compulsory courses.

3. (12) Credit hours of specialized elective courses.

4. (8) Credit hours for the master's thesis.

The duration of the program is two years and divided into

4 semesters.
