Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, Lahore, is a Federally Chartered Public Sector degree awarding institution. PIFD offers quality education in Design fields that is globally competitive in standard, yet much more affordable in comparison.

Established in 1994 as the Pakistan School of Fashion Design, the Institute expanded from its flagship discipline of Fashion Design to eventually set up and teach seven full-fledged undergraduate degree programs in Design disciplines. In 2011 PIFD was given its degree awarding Charter, following which it continues its mission to grow. Among its many strengths PIFD values partnerships with the industry and its international affiliates at prestigious higher education institutes of art and design all over the world.

PIFD is a full member of the CUMULUS Association, the only global professional association to serve Art and Design education and research. This membership provides a forum for international partnership and transfer of knowledge of best practices in research, practice and policy development in Art and Design. This membership is a significant early step towards extending PIFD’s mission in the direction of research and postgraduate education in Art and Design. We believe that being Pakistan’s only institution that has been committedly focusing on Design fields for the past 20 years, PIFD is in a pivotal position to offer an advanced postgraduate degree program in the pedagogy and research of Art and Design.
