Mast Peace Night Khayal Rakhna – An Initiative by Mast FM 103, in aid of the Internally Displaced People of Pakistan Our Concern The war on terror in North Pakistan has forced over 3 million people to abandon their homes and seek refuge in nearby camps. The staggering number has caused it to be one of the biggest migrations in human history. In the soaring temperatures of the Pakistani heat wave, these people are barely surviving in the worst of conditions. Refugee tents are in open ground where the afternoon sun burns head on and these tents become an oven, let alone the a fan, even a 3 ton air conditioner would not be enough to curb the intense heat to which people are not used to in the cool Northern areas. So much have these people been pushed to the edge that they have to fight to obtain food and thousands of women are pregnant with an acute shortage of female doctors. Above all, the IDPs feel betrayed and doomed. Even though they are living in Pakistan, they feel as if they have migrated to a ‘different country’. A country where everything has been taken away from them and no one cares or understands their situation.

Mast Peace NightKhayal Rakhna – An Initiative by Mast FM 103, in aid of the Internally Displaced People of Pakistan

Our ConcernThe war on terror in North Pakistan has forced over 3 million people to abandon their homes and seek refuge in nearby camps.

As the most popular radio station in Pakistan, Mast FM 103 has played an active and responsible role in this period of hardship amongst our brothers and sisters; bringing the true picture of Mardan, Jalozai and Swabi camps to the masses. Our presenters are donating to the cause by dedicating a portion of their shows to the cause and a cut of their salary. We also have a permanent correspondent on the site who reports to us on a daily basis so our listeners can get a true picture, which unfortunately, seems to be very bleak at the moment.

Mast Peace Night - The EventOur Summer charity bonanza promises to be the event of the year with all proceeds in aid the internally displaced people of Pakistan. Proceeds include ticket sales and whatever individuals and businesses wish to give on top. ‘Khayal Rakhna’ will be our way to unite as many under one roof for a common cause. People can come and have a great night and help the cause at the same time.

This is going to be a sell-out event where the stage is being graced by a wide variety of Pakistani stars and celebrities. We are expecting blow out performances from a diverse range of acts including Pappu Saeen, Saeen Zahoor, Soch the Band, Lagan, Call, Ustad Hamid Ali Khan, Rustam Fateh Ali Khan, Shiraz Uppal, Farhat Abbas Shah,Salman Amanat Ali Khan, Jawad Ahmed and many more.

Other than that, we also will be having the presence of actors and actresses from TV and film plus our very own celebrity presenters. If time permits, the Mast FM RJs have also got together and come up with a little play with regards the conditions, which will be acted out on stage.

Again, all the above mentioned people are gracing the event free of charge because they believe in the cause as much as we do.

Promotion and AdvertisingThis is also a great opportunity for businesses to help the IDPs and create awareness of their product to the tens and thousands of listeners. With all advertising revenue going to charity aswell, we are appealing for people to donate to the cause and in turn, advertise their product. Depending on the amount of donation, businesses will be advertised on:

Mast FM 103 – Radio & Online

Commercials and presenter mentions

Khayal Rakhna Flyers – Paper & Onliine

Event Brochure

Event Banners, boards and onscreen at Al Hamra in front of 800 people

Also, business owners will be receiving 2 VIP tickets each so that they can experience the thrill of the night from the best seats in the house!
