Carolina GrowsGood land around Jamestown, VA becomes scarce. Newcomers begin to settle west and south around the Albormoral sound.

Carolina Grows

Much conflict between groups in North Carolina, created Culpeppers rebellion against the Lord Proprietors and governing North Carolina was difficult.

Tuscora rebelled against settlers and were defeated.

People began to move west

Most people lived east of the fall line. But many came, and settled in the piedmont. Germans, Scotch Irish, Quakers, Moravians

Farming was very difficult for them and they were mostly poor compared to the colonists in the eastern part of the state.
