Keeping Children and Youth Safe Envi-

ronment training class for adults 18 &

older who would like to volunteer in a ministry

on Saturday, August 15th from 10am-12:30pm

or Tuesday, August 18th from 6:30-8:30pm in

the Parish Hall. You only need to attend one

of the two available sessions. Please RSVP to

Donna Buccino at [email protected] or

call 817-481-2685 Ext. 237 to register for the

class.

Our parish is converting all ministry scheduling and communica-

tions to a centralized online scheduling program called Ministry

Scheduler Pro. This will make serving as a minister and a ministry

leader much easier. While ministry leaders will still recruit and train

their ministers, the scheduling will be done via the web. The admin-

istrator position processes profile changes, runs reports for the

leaders, and runs the quarterly automated schedule among other

things. The time commitment is approximately 2 hours/week. If you

have good administrative skills and like working with computer

programs please contact Denise Brooks at the church office or via

email [email protected].

After taking the summer off, the 10AM choir will begin weekly re-

hearsals on Sunday, Aug. 23 from 6:30-8:30. This is GREAT TIME to

join! Our primary focus is on mass, but we'll also be working on

Christmas, including the Christmas Concert on Dec. 13. The choir is

open to high school and older, and we're looking for new members.

Come join us! Call Denise Brooks at the church or email

[email protected].

Explore the Holy Land with Fr. Flynn!

March 29, 2016 – April 8, 2016

Join Crossroads Initiative on a life changing journey into a deeper life with Christ and a richer understanding of the Bible. Our princi-pal guide will be Marcellino D’Ambrosio, a New York Times best-selling author. Known on radio and TV as “Dr. Italy,” Marcellino is an expert both in the Bible and Church history who has led fif-teen groups to the Holy Land. His riveting commentary is always understandable and spiritually uplifting. He will be assisted by a local Catholic Arab guide who will provide unique insights into Middle Eastern cultural background of the Sacred Scriptures. Fr. James Flynn, our spiritual director, will be celebrating Mass with our group daily, in some of the greatest shrines in Christendom, with opportunities for confession, healing prayer, and spiritual counsel. This is a unique, once in a lifetime experience: tour, pilgrimage, retreat, and vacation all rolled into one! Deluxe and Superior First Class hotels while we tour: Jerusalem, Galilee, Bethlehem, Qum-ran, Caesarea, Nazareth, Mt. Carmel, and Mt. Tabor. More info: sfatx.org/holyland

The Spanish Mass is looking for an experienced drummer, famil-

iar with Hispanic music, to play with the group on Sundays. Per-

cussion is an important element of Hispanic music and would

add greatly to the music for Mass. The group meets before Mass

to practice. Please contact Ruth Yammine at [email protected]
