VICTORY GARDEN RAISES FUNDS FOR GOLDEN CORNER FOOD PANTRY. For the sixth year in a row parishioners have grown a ‘Victory Garden’ and made the harvest available on a donation basis. All the money raised goes to Golden Corner Food Pantry. This year the garden raised $8,500. The six year total is $22,000! The Garden is led by parishioner/master gardener Jack Hess and an outstanding group of 14 volunteers.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION "Immaculate Mary, your praises we sing!" December 8th is one of our feasts celebrating Mary - the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. From the beginnings of the Church, spiritual writers and theologians have acknowledged the innocence and holiness of Mary. St. Irenaeus called her the "new Eve." Both faced with the pure freedom to accept or reject God, Mary began with work of redemption with her yes to Christ! The Church began to celebrate the feast of Mary's conception in the early Middle Ages. In 1854, Pope Pius IX infallibly declared that Mary was free of original sin from the first moment of her conception. On this feast day, we celebrate the beauty and goodness of Our Lady!
2018 WORLD DAY OF THE POOR FOOD DRIVE IS A HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you to all of our Saint Paul and Saint Francis parishioners who heard Pope Francis’ message this year: ‘The poor man cried and the Lord heard him’. Over 1,000 pounds of food was collected and cash/check donations totaled $2,450. Your generosity is really making a difference in our area. Thanks also to Justin Dery/Joe Devine and the forty Youth Group volunteers who helped collect the food and to the Social Outreach Ministry volunteers who organized the effort.

Through this tree, we will lovingly honor the lives of our loved ones in this very special way as we await Christmas. Ornaments will be available to personalize before and after all the Masses this weekend and next. This project is being sponsored by Saints-A-Walking Relay For Life team, in remembrance of any loved one, not just those lost to cancer. Donations accepted.
