We extend thank to the Sir .Knights, for give me the opportunity to server as the Eminent Grand Treasurer, of TheUnited Grand Commandery of PA. Masonic Knights – Prince Hall Affiliated Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania, Pursuant to Articlefive, Section eight of the United Grand Commander Constitution, and obedient to General Order Number one from MostEminent Grand Commander Sir. Nicholas Bagley No. 12, we submit the Treasurer Annual report for the period, from July 1,2019 to June 31, 2020.

The Annual transaction of the Treasurer report is based upon following accounts, The United Grand CommanderyGeneral Funds, Sheppard Thornton Achievement Funds, Charity Funds, Impress Account and Convention Account.

At the last Grand Conclave, it was requested of the Eminent Grand Treasurer to obtain a different Financial Institution, weselect Wells Fargo Bank, there was a slight problem, the Bank wouldn’t accept the Most Eminent Grand Commander signature,therefore only one signature was affixed to the checks.

Greetings:

I have made a thorough examination of the financial records of the fiscal officers. Thisexamination was performed in accordance with the guidelines of prudent auditing standards. Thisincluded an examination of the deposit slips, warrants, bank statements, receipt books, and the canceledchecks of the United Grand Commandery, Masonic Knights Templar of Pennsylvania for the fiscal yearbeginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2020. Please note the following findings of that examination.

From the records, I have prepared the following statements, detailing the receipts anddisbursements for all accounts and have verified all accounts against the banks statements. Theexamination was made in accordance with the generally accepted auditing procedures and/or such otherauditing procedures deemed appropriate for this type of entity.

Each item of cash received by the Eminent Grand Recorder was turned over to the Eminent GrandTreasurer who then issued the appropriate receipts for the same. The cash was then deposited into thebank accounts appropriately designated.

It is my opinion that the attached exhibits will reflect the financial stability of this Grand Body.

FACTS & FINDINGS

1) The Most Eminent Grand Commander had overdrawn the SantanderImpress Account by $448.00 in overdrawn fees and service charges.The Most Eminent Grand Commander used the Visa Debit Cardassociated with the account instead of checks. The Account wasclosed in December 2019. Impress Account is now with Wells FargoBank and the Most Eminent Grand Commander does not have a VisaCard and all his expenses with receipts and orders such as ticketsand ads are now going thru the Eminent Grand Recorder to make avoucher to give to the Eminent Grand Treasurer.

2) The Endowment CD on last year’s audit was listed at $5,747.00 but itwasn’t listed on the Eminent Grand Treasurer’s report. The EminentGrand Treasurer had a statement dated January 22, 2018 that hereceived from the Eminent Grand Recorder that was with the papersand books of our late Eminent Grand Recorder William Furcron. TheCD was opened/last renewed on February 16, 2016 for 24 months.Value at Maturity was $251.42, with Maturity Date of February 19,2018. Next Maturity Date is February 19, 2020. The account wasopened at Wachovia Bank on October 19, 2008, with $5,401.16 onOctober 19, 2008. Wachovia Bank subsequently became Well FargoBank and the account number stayed the same. On the 2014 Audit,the balance as of 7/1/13 was $5,728.75 with $6.70 interest with theworth of the CD at $5,734.95. It appears that the CD had asubsequent withdrawal. We have not received a statement from thebank concerning the CD. The Eminent Grand Treasurer was told byWells Fargo that the CD has a signature that he can’t have access to.The Eminent Grand Treasurer will inquire further at the bank for thetransactions of the CD. He might need the death certificates ofEminent Grand Treasurer Daniel Baldwin and Eminent GrandRecorder William Furcron.
