MashovhelaLodgeTHE LODGE
The lodge takes its name from the scenic Mashovhela rock pool - an ancient and sacred site of Venda folk-
lore, known as the "Place where the Drums Beat".
The lodge has a tranquil atmosphere and bears the unique and distinctive character of the Venda people. It
is built on the site of an abandoned settlement in ethnically inspired style and dcor, with the addition of eco-
friendly facilities (solar powered lights and hot water).
Ten cozy, thatched Venda en-suite rooms designed and sited to minimize ecological footprint. Each unit is
surrounded by magube walls - sure to evoke the special Venda village experience.
