Magnetic fastening pockets are found on

some jackets ensuring they can be easily

opened with one hand and are always

closed so nothing falls out.

Unique detail! MASCOT Velho, MASCOT

Pinhel, MASCOT Zafra and MASCOT Atina

trousers have cleverly positioned magnets

to hold screws and bits.

The trousers waist band is cut to follow

the bodys natural contours and sits like

modern jeans not like the old high waisters!

When you bend over the waist band stays

close to the body and does not gape.

The wide belt loop on some styles ensures

the belt does not ride up and irritate either

side of the belt loop.

The legs are designed and cut in a way that

makes it more comfortable when bending.

There is more fabric at the front of the

knees to allow for the knee to bend without

being restricted and at the same time has

less fabric at the back of the knees so it

does not bunch up when working in bended

positions.

Our newly designed ruler pocket makes it

easy to get working fingers in to remove

rulers with both 10 and 12 folds.

Look for trousers made from fabric 010

they have mechanical stretch in the fabric

making them more comfortable every step

of every day.

Seams on exposed places are stitched two

or three times making them extremely

2 Year GuaranteeRemember! All our products have a 2

year guarantee on all zips and seams. The

product will be replaced or repaired if the

defect occurs within two years of buying the

product. This will take place free of charge

through the distributor. The guarantee only

applies to ordinary wear and tear, and if the

fabric has not been damaged.

Moisture wicking underwearThe moisture regulation is the most

important quality of the underwear.

The body produces moisture during

work and other physical activities.

The moisture has to be transferred

away from the body through a

layer of clothing in order to keep

the body dry. As wet skin cools

down much faster than dry skin,

you will find it difficult to keep

yourself warm if your clothing is

moist against your skin. Functional

underwear absorbs the moisture,

transfers it away from the body

and spreads the moisture across a

larger area allowing the moisture to

evaporate quicker.

Breathable protection against wind and rainIf you can keep the wind out, you

have a solid foundation to stay

warm. If you have chosen a jacket

with a membrane you will also stay

dry, even if a shower should pass by.

Last but not least, it is crucial that

the top layer is breathable enabling

the moisture from the body to

evaporate. A thin lining is preferable

because if it is particularly cold, you

can just put on an extra insulation

layer under the jacket.

Insulating layerThe middle layer has two

functions. It insulates and absorbs

moisture from the inner layer. If

it is particularly cold, you can use

several thin insulation layers. It is

also important that the clothes are

MASCOTExMascotex is a waterproof laminate that is placed inside

the polyester outer of a garment. It is this laminate that

provides the waterproofness to the fabric. As with all

MASCOT products Mascotex has been thoroughly Tested

to Work so we know when you buy a Mascotex garment

you receive the best protection from the elements. The

laminate is also breathable providing a waterproof yet

breathable fabric. Mascotex fabric is approved to EN343,

the European Norm for Protective Clothing, measuring

protection against rain. Mascotex achieves a Class 3

classification, the highest and best classification a fabric

can receive. All seams are taped to make them waterproof

as well. As soon as you pierce the fabric it removes

the waterproof properties so we dont recommend

you embroider Mascotex garments. So if you see the

Mascotex logo in this brochure you can be assured of

100% waterproof protection.

other commonly used fabrics. Results of fabric abrasion tests according to ISO EN

12947 clearly show the durability of CORDURA fabric. Note CORDURA fabric is

fabrics are shown after 50,000 turns.

ThERMAxThermax is an insulating triple layered material developed

by MASCOT. Thermax is used in our thermal underwear

and designed for use in very low temperatures and work

with lower activity levels. The fabric is extremely heat

insulating. An inner polyester layer channels perspiration

EN471 is the European Norm for High visibility Warning

Clothing for professional use. The MASCOT Safe range

is certified to EN471. High visibility safety workwear is

divided into three safety classes according to the degree

of protection offered by the garments. Each classification

reflects how well the garment provides protection for the

wearer. The fluorescent fabric provides protection in the

light and twilight hours and the reflective strips protect in

the dark.

En471ThE ThREE ClASSiFiCATiOnSEach classification reflects how well the garment provides

protection for the wearer. The more fluorescent material

and reflectors there are on the garment, the better the

protection offered. The fluorescent material provides

protection in the daylight and in the twilight hours, while

the reflectors provide protection in the dark.

ClASSiFiCATiOnSHigh-visibility workwear is classified according to the

surface area covered by the high visibility material and

reflector. There are 3 classes, with class 3 being the

highest giving you the maximum protection.

Class 3 workwear must be worn by everyone working

on roads with normal speed restrictions, near railways

and under cranes. It must also be worn by members

of the emergency services. As a general rule, a set

of workwear always constitutes class 3 workwear. A

typical combination is trousers and jacket. However, a

combination of shorts and traffic waistcoats also comply

with class 3 standards. A boilersuit by itself is classified as

class 3. Parka coats and jackets (size XS and up) that are

worn separately also comply with class 3 standards.

Class 2 workwear must be worn by supervisors working

in areas where class 3 workwear is required. Class 2

workwear typically consists of a traffic waistcoat, bib &

brace or a T-shirt.

Class 1 typically consists of trousers and must be worn

by visitors to areas where class 2 or class 3 workwear is

required. Visitors must be accompanied by the people

working in the area.
