DECEMBER 25, 2016 THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD
My dear sisters and brothers!
A GRACE-FILLED, WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS to you and your family!
What a joy to celebrate Christmas day on a Sunday! As we celebrate the Word of God becoming flesh
in order to share the hopes and joys, sorrows and struggles of the human family, we also celebrate,
(because it is a Sunday) His Resurrection to save us from the power of sin and death. The baby Jesus
did not remain a little child but became an adult to proclaim the Good News of salvation to a world
drowning in sin. He came not to solve and fix all our problems, but He went around doing good as St.
Luke tells us in the Acts of the Apostles. Jesus Christ came to proclaim 'FEAR NOT!' Fear haunts
people of all ages, even private and government institutions. It paralyzes some people to inaction, it
makes other people feel insecure. Others develop controlling and domineering behaviors. Some
others commit sin that cause untold suffering to others.
Our Lord Jesus understands fear. He knows and offers His loving embrace when in prayer we
express to Him our worse fears. We need to hear in the depths of our hearts, Him telling us "nothing
can separate us from the love of God, neither anguish nor distress... neither death, nor life, nor
angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God" (Rom. 8:35-39).
As we face the challenges of life while on pilgrimage back to the Father, Jesus, our Emmanuel is with
us! FEAR NOT!
In our Bread of Life,
Fr. Frankie, SSS
Pastor
Greetings From Our Pastor!

God Is With You Always
What’s in a name? In the case of Emmanuel, it’s all in
that name. “God-with-us” in the infant whose birth we
celebrate; “God-with-us” in Jesus’ forgiving sinners;
“God-with-us” in Jesus weeping over a friend’s death;
“God-with-us” in feeding thousands with bread and
countless people with His word; “God-with-us”
carrying the cross; “God-with-us” on Christmas
morning and in His last words, “I am with you
always.” God is with you today and always because
Jesus has lived up to His name. Is there someone you
ought to be with tonight?
“I have been with you wherever you went.”
