ADVANCES IN SPACE

Ever since we could look up to the sky and wonder what was there, we have speculated about what was in outer space. If it were not for many brave and courageous men and women in our time, we would still be looking up at the sky and wondering what was up in space. Even with all of the advances we have had, there is still so much for us to know and explore. Will you be one of those brave men or women to discover something in space?
In this voyage, you will review many past scientists such as Aristotle and Ptolemy. You will also review astronauts who went to the moon. Do you remember when the first man went to the moon? If not, review with your study guides at the link.
EARTHY FACTS
In order to understand more about space, we need to understand more about Earth and how it relates to the rest of the universe. Earth’s diameter is one fourth larger than the moon’s diameter. Do you know how much larger the sun’s diameter is compared to the Earth? If you forget, click here to find your study guides to help you.
In this voyage, you will review the size of Earth, how far it is from the sun, and the surface of the Earth.

“Space Game”
Enter the Eclipses & Phases of the Moon“Space Scavenger Challenge”
Do you know what a Lunar Eclipse and New Moon have in common? How are they different? How does the moon get its light? The moon has always been a wonder to man since it is our closest neighbor in space.
In this journey, you will review the moon phases and the two eclipses. If you would like to venture out into more details, you can find more details about the moon you have never learned before in the “Space Scavenger Challenge”. You can always go back to your study guides here to help you with any questions.
MOTIONS IN SPACE
Back to the Voyage Page Play the Motions in Space“Space Game”
Enter the Motions In Space “Space Scavenger Challenge”
How fast are we moving in space? Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? Earth can- well not really, but it can do two things at one time- do you know what two movements Earth makes at the same time? To review the movements, you can go to your study guides here.
In this voyage, not only will you review the movements but what how those movements affect us.
SUN AND THE MOON
Back to the Voyage Page Play the Sun and the Moon“Space Game”
Enter the Sun and The Moon “Space Scavenger Challenge”
How big is our sun? When you compare it to Earth, it is extremely large but when you compare it to other stars, it is an average size star. Yes, our sun is a star. How many moons can fit into Earth? How many Earths can fit into the sun?
These are questions you can find in the “Space Scavenger Challenge”. So get out your sheets and start getting busy. Don’t forget you can use your study guides to help you. You can enter here to find the study guides.
