Students Background: Mary is fifteen years

old and lives with her parents and seven

brothers and sisters. Her older brother and

sister could not go to high school because

the family could not afford it. Her parents

provide the family’s basic needs by picking

tea and finding odd jobs. Mary is a very

disciplined student and ranked first in her

Form 8 class of 46 students.

Thanks to her hard work and with support

from her EFAC sponsors, Mary is now in

her first year at Naivasha Girls High

School. In this presentation, Mary shares

photos from her home and school in

Kenya.
