Passenger terminal and service building for Signature Aviation at Logan International Airport. The building is LEED certified, incorporating zinc alloy cladding and sunshades to shield exterior glazing while providing views to the exterior runway. A large zinc canopy also shades the entrance at the south side of the terminal. Produced construction document set, digital model, and renderings. Drafted construction document set, contributed to design development and detail specifications.

Urban park and streetscape designed by CKS in collaboration with Reed Hilderbrand Associates. The design creates a gateway between Boston’s downtown historic districts and the New England Aquarium on the water front. Design elements include a trellis structure with integrated benches, outdoor seating, and a densely planted garden. Produced digital model, plans, presentation drawings, and deign specifications.

Condominium tower with 31 stories, 305 residential units, exercise room, lobby, and lounge. The condo’s Deco-inspired interior includes uninterrupted views of the city, river, and surrounding neighborhoods. Produced construction document set, presentation drawings, and material specifications.

Mixed use condominium tower in Midtown Atlanta with 452 residential units. All interior spaces incorporate a clean, contemporary aesthetic with a tasteful use of stone, granite, wood, and custom lighting. Assisted with material selection, finish boards, and design specifications.

PROJECT: Anavalli Community CenterLOCATION: Tamil Nadu, IndiaARCHITECT: Auroville Earth InstitutePROJECT SIZE: 3,000 SFCOMPLETED: September 2006

Community center sponsored by UNDP (United Nations Development Program) for post-tsunami reconstruction in southeast India. The design of each building incorporates earthquake-resistant technologies and environmentally sustainable materials such as interlocking, compressed earth bricks and ferro-cement roofing. The project also included the training of local masons in sustainable construction techniques and community participation in design and development. Produced drawing set and design specifications and managed construction for all phases of the project.

PROJECT: Tongo Premier Cycle SchoolLOCATION: Tongo, Mali, West AfricaARCHITECT: Mary AlthoffPROJECT SIZE: 6,000 SFCOMPLETED: November 2010

Premier Cycle School designed and constructed while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa. The design incorporates environmentally sustainable technologies including the use of compressed earth bricks and rainwater harvesting. The corrugated metal roof is raised to increase cross-ventilation and extended overhangs provide shade for walls exposed to the sun. Project emphasizes the use of community participation in design and construction. This is the first work of sustainable architecture to be constructed in the region and will serve as a pilot program for future construction projects. Responsible for project inception, design, fundraising, and construction administration.
