Bride's Story www.the-weddingplanner.com 67 The ceremony… Lorna Lopez and Martin Byrne married on the 31st August 2013 at the rural 12th Century church of St Mary’s the Virgin, Maulden. The day was hot and sunny so the canapé and drinks reception held on the terrace of the Mansion House, Wrest Park was very welcome. The guests then moved to the beautiful Orangery for the wedding breakfast. The look… The bride looked stunning in a floor length ivory gown with a chapel train from the Jasmine Bridal collection. Diamante crystals embellished the neckline, straps and the length of the back of the dress. As the couple wanted a traditional style they opted for the groom and grooms men to wear morning suits; with an ivory cravat and hankerchief for the groom and lemon accessories for the other grooms men which matched the bridesmaids Grecian-inspired A-symmetrical dresses. The details… A unique and unusual theme for the table plan was the Manchester United treble winning team of 1999. Each table had a team photo and was named after a player from the team. Obviously Martin’s idea! Your favourite moment… ‘My favourite moment was my speech,’ explained Martin. ‘I enjoyed telling Lorna just how gorgeous she was and, thankfully, the whole speech went down well with the guests, which was a relief!’ Your photographer… The couple both agreed that their photographer, Becky was fantastic, “She was so polite and courteous but made sure she got a great set of photos, without being too intrusive.” Old school friends Martin and Lorna tied the knot in the classic setting of Wrest Park Martin & Lorna Photographer: Becky Kerr, Becky Kerr Photography, www.beckerphotography.co.uk Venue: Wrest Park, www.english-heritage.org.uk
