• Has evil twin brother named Ma’alefa’ak (long time foe)

• Also enemies with a power-hungry warrior tribe from his home of Mars called the White Martians

Origin

• Born on Mars, a member of the Green Martian tribe, a race of peaceful philosophers

• Martian Manhunter’s evil twin however committed mass genocide on his own people by creating a psychic plague that killed all the Green Martians including Martian Manhunter’s wife and children, who burned to death as he watched in horror, nearly driving him mad

• A scientist on Earth built a teleport device that accidentally took the Manhunter to Earth, where he became a superhero determined to protect humanity and protect them from suffering the same fate as his own species

• Went on to cofound the Justice League of America and manage the team’s Watchtower

Personality

• Scarred and traumatized by the loss of his family, and slowly learning to make friends and form relationships again

• Peaceful and kind, but savage when angered

Weaknesses

• Fire, but this is a psychological weakness and he’s gotten over it recently
