    Since 1998, the POCAS Method hasbeen updated; the 1998 POCASMethod and the 2000 POCASm

    method are Method 21, whereas the2002 SPOCAS method is Method 23*

    *Samples were analysed by Method 21 (POCAS or POCASm). The POCAS Method is asper the Guidelines for Sampling and Analysis of Lowland Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) in

    Queensland 1998 , CR Ahern, MR Ahern and B Powell (1998). The POCASm Method is asper A Modified Acid Sulfate Soil Method for Comparing Net Acid Generation and PotentialSulfide Oxidation – POCASm , CR Ahern, AE McElnea, SL Denny and NP Latham (2000).

    The SPOCAS Method is as per Improvements to Peroxide Oxidation Methods forAnalysing Sulfur in Acid Sulfate Soils and The Measurement of Actual Acidity in AcidSulfate Soils and the Determination of Sulfidic Acidity in Suspension After Peroxide
