Hangers are a key component to the reliability of your screw conveyor. Our patentedQuick-Change hanger reduces maintenance requirements to change bearings. OurHeavy-Duty hanger provides radial strength more than twice industry standard hang-ers. Our patented Wear-Indicator design shows a warning flag when the hanger bear-ing reaches a predetermined wear level (typically 80%). Situations where the bearingfails and the screw drops damaging both the trough and screw are avoided.

Hangers

We offer Clad Pipe as an alternative to std. stainless pipe. It generally consists of schedule 10 stainless pipe surrounding sch 80 carbon steel pipe.The result is aproduct that includes the best properties of bothmaterials. Benefits include:

Torque Capacity: The thicker walled clad pipecan handle more horsepower and torque thancomparative sized stainless pipe.

Fatigue Resistant: Carbon steel has much higherfatigue resistance than stainless steel. Stainlessscrews tend to develop stress cracks after a certain number of revolutions.This often leads to failure. Clad pipe offers the exceptional fatigueresistance of carbon steel yet has the corrosionresistance of stainless.

Deflection: Clad pipe is more rigid structurallyresulting is lower deflection as measured at thecenter of the screws span.This lowers fatiguestress resulting in longer life and reduces the likeli-hood of screw to trough interference.

Price: Clad pipe was developed to obtain higherstructural integrity, not a price advantage. But stain-less prices have increased over the years and wehave developed more efficient methods in manufac-turing clad pipe.The result is that, in most heavy-duty applications, clad pipe is a better product at alower price.

Developed for screw conveyorapplications where minimalreplacement downtime is the mainobjective, CNC machining allowsus to make a very strong anddependable Quick Link. Ourpatented twin strap design addsintegrity not previously available.

Bolt Pad Option

½" thick pads increase torque rating of screws minimizing egg-shaped holes and sheared couplingbolts. Coupling bolts and nuts tendto stay tighter because of the flatsurface allowed by bolt pads(shown above with clad pipe).

Graphite Plugged Hanger Bearings

Our long-term test results showthat graphite plugs alone provide a performance level of ~85% that of manual lubrication (based onbearing wear).Typical applicationsare in situations where manuallubrication isn't always dependableor possible. Even where manuallubrication is possible, graphiteplugs are a relatively inexpensiveand reliable backup.
