Marketing and Advocacy Interest Group
• To support and promote the aims and objectives of the Association (LIASA), as set in Article 5 of the constitution
• Matters of national importance will be dealt with by the National PRO and supported by MAIG
• To unite Library and Information employees interested in furthering and improving library and information services throughout South Africa by means of marketing and advocating for LIS
• To provide for the exchange of new ideas and experiences among members at national and regional workshops, meetings and conferences

• To liaise and co-operate with other groups and organisations in the advancement of the marketing and advocating of library services in South Africa
• To advocate for the enhancement and development of LIS in South Africa
• To advocate for, and address all issues, which are of importance and which affect LIS in South Africa
• To commit to quality library services, which benefit the users of library and information services in South Africa
