Egg Dropping Contest

Target
Event
In team or individually, kids compete in dropping an egg from a significant height without breaking it
How it worksDifferent approaches are possible (cushioning, slowing the fall, etc.). Clear rules on materials allowed (quantity, type, cost)Evaluation based on specific rules, accounting for weight/volume of device (less weight, more efficient).
Example of Rules
• No kits or pre-made designs may be used. • No strings or other attachments NO
PARACHUTES!• Must land in a designated target area. • No propulsion systems• No gases (i.e. helium) other than air • Volume will be calculated based on the shape of
the container (inside air volume/space will not be subtracted out).
• Scoring will be based on the following formula

• The containers will be dropped from an initial height of at least 15 meters. The second and final drop will be from a height greater than 15 meters.

The contest can be hosted at the client retail locations (dealerships, shopping centers, stores etc.)
Events can be planned in series or even as a multi-stage competition with local, regional and national stages, the latter being a major event
A communication plan will leverage the preparation, contest and post contest phases to get visibility for the event, and the company on different media:

PR campaign on other traditional media

Target
How it works
The company sponsors “school herb gardens” in a number of schools, condos, and other communities. Several options are available to leverage this project:
Distribution of “kits” with info, tools, seeds, desktop garden
Several learning projects can be organized around this garden through out the year(s)
Communication and visibility throughout the project
Possibility to organize contests of different kind at different stages:
• best learning project (in several subjects)• recipe contest with the herbs growns
Thousands of “heavy” direct contacts, Hundred of thousands of indirect contacts through social networks, You Tube etc.
