BBF launches new Price Hold Guarantee
Bestway Batleys Foodservice has announced its latest Price Hold Guarantee (PHG), with over 300 prices on key catering
SKUs “locked down” until July.
PHG was revamped in January of this year and evolved from research highlighting the need for price stability among
customers to help forecast and manage budgets and cash flow.
The latest PHG versions – there are two versions available
covering restaurants/hotels/pubs and café/fast food – offer a range of great prices on over 300 branded and Essentially
Catering own-label products with fixed pricing until 30th June across the core categories of fresh meat, chilled and frozen,
ambient and non-food.

JJ Food Service moves into snacks and confectionary
Enfield-based wholesaler JJ Food Service has announced it is launching a range of crisp, confectionary and snack lines “to offer existing customers a broader range of products while attracting
business from new market sectors”.
The foodservice specialist kicked-off with a selection of SKUs at the start of the year, including crisps, chocolate bars, chewing
gum, cereal bars, nuts and more.

Best suppliers and retailers honoured at P&H’s Pro-Retail 2015
Palmer and Harvey, the UK’s biggest delivered wholesaler, celebrated some of the UK’s most outstanding retailers and
suppliers at the Pro-retail Awards last week.
The Awards, which were held during the wholesaler’s 33rd Pro-retail trade show, at the International Centre in Telford, were
established to recognised excellence and industry-leading practice among forecourt, convenience store and CTN retailers in
the UK. Winners receive £1,000 worth of free stock.
An innovation this year was the Community Retailer of the Year award, which aims to honour individuals who run "exemplary
examples of retail stores and enrich the lives of their local communities".
The inaugural award went to Adrian and Thea Dunn of Bromham
Stores in Bromham, Wiltshire.
