A leader in the field of cosmetic laser surgery since the origination of laser treatments for skin, Dr. Taylor has pioneered and taught many new laser techniques to over 4,000 doctors worldwide.

Dr. Donna Fischer has extensive experience as an aesthetic medical spa director. She has trained other providers in the use of intense pulsed light (IPL), Fraxel® lasers, neurotoxins (Dysport® and BOTOX®), and facial fillers (Juvederm®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, Sculptra®, and Artefill®). One of her primary areas of interest is tumescent liposuction, with fat and stem cell augmentation, of breasts, face, and hands. Dr. Megan McClean is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in cosmetic and laser surgery. Elise Wilcox, PA-C, has been working closely with Dr. Taylor since 2003. Soft Tissue Fillers Filler treatments are also very popular, since they offer instant gratification and excellent long-term results. Skin Tightening Procedures Lasers, radiofrequency devices, and ultrasound devices are used to tighten the skin. At Gateway Aesthetic we have reviewed all available devices for skin tightening and have chosen those that offer the best results, with the least discomfort, and at the lowest patient cost. Skin tightening procedures are often combined with other same-day proce- dures to maximize the enhancement to your skin.

Treatments for Double Chin and Other Areas of Localized Fat Kybella® is a recently approved product that dissolves fat under the chin (submental fat). It is FDA approved and very successful. Additional small areas of fat besides the chin can be treated with Kybella® (off label) or with a compounded non-FDA approved product called LipoDissolve®. In general, these products are used for small areas of localized fat and do not replace procedures for removing larger areas of fat typically treated with CoolSculpting®, UltraShape®, Fotona TightSculpting®, or liposuction.

Skin Resurfacing with Lasers and Radiofrequency Devices Laser resurfacing is the most effective treatment to remove wrinkles, scars, and precancerous skin lesions, and to erase 20+ years of aging from your skin. Light, medium, and deep laser resurfacing are available to meet your needs and life-style. Treatment can be performed either in a single session, or with milder treatments over multiple sessions.

Baggy Eyelids Treatment of baggy eyelids is a specialty at Gateway Aesthetic. Over the past 25 years, we have treated over 2,000 highly satisfied patients using laser surgery, laser resurfacing and other eyelid tightening procedures that improve the tired ap-pearance of wrinkled, baggy, and loose eyelid skin.

Spider Veins and Redness on the Face Lasers and IPL treatment of facial redness and spider veins is a common and highly successful procedure. Treatment of the entire face takes less than 30 minutes. Multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve optimum results.

Acne Scars Dr. Mark Taylor, owner of Gateway Aesthetic Institute and Laser Center, invented the most effective method for treating acne scars, one that uses a specially designed surgical tool called the Taylor Liberator. Patients have come from all over the world to have their acne scars treated at Gateway Aesthetic. During your consultation, we will recommend the perfect single treatment plan to correct as many scars as possible.

Face Lifting and Threading Procedures Traditional and minimal-incision face lifts (SwiftLift®, LifeStyle Lift, etc.) are performed by our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Bryan Sonntag. Simpler nonsurgical lifts can be performed with the Instalift® and polydioxanone (PDO) ab-sorbable sutures that offer minimal or no down time. These dissolvable sutures add youthful volume to the face. Another option is nasolabial fold lifts, which are performed by excising excess skin from around the laugh lines. This is often a good option for patients with thin, loose skin on their lower face.

Dark Under-Eye Circles Darkening under the eyes is caused by hollow tear troughs, eye bags, veins, wrinkles, and increased skin pigment around the lower eyelids. At Gateway Aesthetic, we offer customized treatments to improve or eliminate these shadows or dark circles under the eyes.

Treatment of Sun Damaged Lips The sun can cause severe damage to the lips, often resulting in rough white spots which can be an early sign of impend-ing skin cancer. Lighter skin is especially susceptible to sun damage and cancer. Laser treatment of sun-damaged lips can remove the precancerous spots and improve their overall appearance.

Microdermabrasion, Skin Planing, and Silk Peels Light exfoliation of the epidermis using microdermabrasion, skin planing, and silk peels (microdermabrasion with rejuve-nating solutions) provides a freshness, smoothness, and radiance to the skin for a youthful glow and smoother application of skin care products and cosmetics. These treatments also promote better circulation, stimulate new collagen production, and clean pores to help prevent acne.

Hands and ArmsHand Treatments for a More Youthful Appearance As hands age, they typically become boney, spotted, and wrinkled. Combined therapies treat prominent veins, restore volume with fillers, and remove spots with lasers or IPL. Thighs, Legs, and FeetRemoval of Varicose and Spider Veins Spider and varicose veins on the legs can be successfully treated with sclerotherapy (injections) or lasers. Treated areas typically include thighs, legs, and feet. This is a quick, easy, and successful procedure with no downtime.

Cellulite Treatments Cellulite is one of the most difficult conditions to treat. CelluLaze® laser treatment, subcision of cellulite fibrous bands, and liposuction are minimally-invasive surgical procedures that may be combined with skin tightening to per-manently improve the appearance of cellulite. Multiple sessions can permanently remove unwanted hair on virtually any part of the body. Neograft Hair Transplant With Neograft®, individual healthy hairs from the back of the scalp can be removed and transplanted into areas where the hair is thinning, balding, or receding. This highly successful treatment can be performed in a single ses-sion and leaves no unsightly scars. Eyebrows can also be restored permanently with Neograft® hair transplants.

PRP and Stem Cells for Hair Restoration PRP (platelet rich plasma, obtained from your own blood) and optional umbilical cord tissue stem cells (obtained from an umbilical cord tissue bank) are injected into the skin to stimulate follicles to grow hair in greater density and thickness. This is a newer procedure that is used to treat thinning hair in both men and women.

Female and Male RejuvenationVaginal Tightening with Laser or Radiofrequency Vaginal tightening is a new and popular treatment that uses laser and/or radiofrequency energy (Fotona G-Runner® and ThermiVa®) to heat-shrink and tighten the vaginal mucosa. The treatment is not only helpful to women with stress incontinence (urinating when exercising, coughing or sneezing), but it also increases pelvic support and sensitivity during sexual intercourse. It is a simple, quick, and comfortable procedure performed with minimal or no downtime.

“O” Shot (Orgasm Shot) with Optional Stem Cells The “O” shot is a procedure where PRP (platelet rich plasma) from a patient’s blood and optional umbilical cord stem cells are injected into the G-spot and other areas around the clitoris to increase sensitivity during sexual intercourse. This treatment may be combined on the same day with a vaginal tighten-ing procedure.

DermatologyDermatology Services Gateway Aesthetic employs multiple board-certified dermatologists who understand skin diseases, skin cancer, and surgery. We can diagnose and treat any of your skin conditions or, if necessary, refer you for specialized care.

Skin Surgery and Mole Removal

Both dermatologic and plastic surgeons are on staff at the Gateway Aesthetic Institute who can perform skin surgeries to remove skin cancers, tumors, scars, lipomas, and moles. Surgically removed moles are sent for pathologic ex-amination to be certain there are no abnormal cells. For other lesions and skin diseases, we take a biopsy of the skin to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Treatment of Dark Skin Many of our patients with naturally dark skin need help with treatment for acne, skin diseases, abnormal pigmented spots, or benign skin lesions. We specialize in treating dark skin safely, removing the unwanted spots, and leaving the surrounding skin as normal as possible.

Specialty TreatmentsStem Cells Stem cell treatments are new in aesthetic medicine. At Gateway, we have combined umbilical cord stem cells with other aesthetic treatments including hair restoration, laser resurfacing, acne scar treatments, neck and extremity treat-ment, vaginal and penile rejuvenation, fillers, and in wellness medicine treatments at our Gateway Emerging Tech-nologies Medical Clinic. After a year of research, our results are encouraging.

Chemical Peels Chemical peels can improve skin pigment and texture while reducing wrinkles and scars. We offer a full line of peels, from mild to deep, that can be used depending on the skin condition and desired results. Treatment of Abnormal Skin Pigment Uneven pigment in the skin can be caused by many conditions, including age spots, melasma (pregnancy mask), post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), and darkly pigmented scars. Our new picosecond laser facials al-low us to treat unwanted pigmented spots with greater improvement and fewer risks compared to older technolo-gies. We have many other options including the Cosmion (Cosmetic Ion) mask and companion products. With our board-certified dermatologists, extensive experience, and a vast array of modern laser technology, we can help you understand and solve your skin pigment problems.

Laser Treatment of Birthmarks Birthmarks come in many colors and may be either flat or raised. Dr. Taylor has over 25 years of experience remov-ing birthmarks with lasers, surgery, and other technologies. He also invented a technique using a short-pulse, high-energy laser that is extremely successful in removing red and purple birthmarks.

Treatment of Scars and Keloids Gateway Aesthetic is a worldwide referral center for the treatment of scars and keloids. We can greatly improve most scars and keloids with a combination of therapies including laser, IPL devices, injections, and topical treat-ments.

Laser and Medical Treatment of Hemangiomas Hemangiomas are collections of blood vessels in the skin that often cause an unwanted bulge of red or purple. The most common type is an infantile hemangioma or strawberry mark that appears shortly after birth and may en-large over time. These lesions are best treated sooner rather than later to lessen tissue destruction and a prolonged unsightly appearance of the skin.

Low Level LED Light Treatments LED light treatments are used for skin healing and for treatment of precancerous lesions, acne, and rosacea. They also stimulate fat shrinkage and the production of new collagen and blood vessels in the skin. Our skincare store, Apothica, sells handheld LED lights ideal for home use. These include Omnilux New-U® to improve circulation and collagen growth and the Omnilux Clear-U® to improve inflammatory acne and treat skin infections.

Photodynamic Therapy LED lights can be combined with photosensitizing topical products for skin rejuvenation to treat acne, sun damage, and other skin diseases and cosmetic conditions.

Note that many of our cosmetic procedures can be combined and performed on the same day. For example, patients will often combine eyelid surgery with laser resurfacing or skin tightening.
