Presently, the Indonesian government is planning to have common standardized system to obtain Certificates together with 41 countries including Singapore, Panama, and the Philippines, etc. It was not possible, however, in February 2002 when the STCW Convention 95 was fully implemented, to achieve the worldwide standardization as required by the convention solely by the Indonesian government because of its limited national budget. As an example of such difficulty, the seafarers training of state- of-the-art marine technology and of other education are done only through chalk-and-talk even in BP3IP, the national maritime educational institute of Indonesia. It is clear that in terms of quality, seafarers training are falling behind the level of modern techniques and practices. Service Provided OC Global carried out selection of proper equipment for maritime education and training to be installed for BP3IP Jakarta, STIP Jakarta, PIP Semarang, PIP Makassar, BP2IP Surabaya and BP2IP Barombong. In order to accommodate systematically the selected equipment, OC Global planned the layouts and designed the buildings. We also conducted preparation of Bid Documents including Technical Specifications, Bills of Quantities and Drawings. Construction supervision and initial training for installed equipment also were conducted. Actual Project Works Installed equipment are Radar Simulator, Ship Simulator, Diesel Engine Plant, GMDSS Simulator, Navigation Aid Simulator, Other Navigation Equipment, Engine Workshop Equipment, Physics and Chemistry Laboratory Equipment, Radio Communication Equipment, Automatic/Control Equipment, Basic Safety Equipment, Computer based Training System for Cargo Handling Simulator, Language laboratory, Tanker Training Equipment and Other equipment. New school buildings were constructed to accommodate additional equipment at BP3IP Jakarta (5,250 m 2 ), PIP Semarang (1,500 m 2 ) and PIP Makassar (1,500m 2 )
