From the Principal Dear Parents and Guardians, A very warm welcome to you all as we begin the 2018 school year. We gathered today at the magnificent St Patrick's Cathedral to dedicate our year to God and induct our school leaders. This has become a special tradion for our school and is eagerly ancipated as we start each school year. We have a real sense of belonging to a wider catholic community. It also helps remind us of our catholic history in New Zealand and how Bishop Pompallier built a wooden church on the site many years ago. His part in the Treaty of Waitangi is also worth remembering as he promoted religious freedom which is somemes referred to as the fourth arcle. In her welcome our Liturgy leader Liya Jose spoke of our core value for the year which is Family Spirit - Whānau Wairua. We are called to foster a sense of belonging, encouragement, uncondional love and total acceptance of each other or in the words of St Paul "... clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness and humility but above all clothe yourselves with love which binds everything together in perfect harmony... From the PrincipalDear Parents and Guardians,

A very warm welcome to you all as we begin the 2018 school year. We gathered today at the magnificent St Patrick's Cathedral to dedicate our year to God and induct our school leaders. This has become a special tradition for our school and is eagerly anticipated as we start each school year. We have a real sense of belonging to a wider catholic community. It also helps remind us of our catholic history in New Zealand and how Bishop Pompallier built a wooden church on the site many years ago. His part in the Treaty of Waitangi is also worth remembering as he promoted religious freedom which is sometimes referred to as the fourth article.

In her welcome our Liturgy leader Liya Jose spoke of our core value for the year which is Family Spirit - Whānau Wairua. We are called to foster a sense of belonging, encouragement, unconditional love and total acceptance of each other or in the words of St Paul "... clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness and humility but above all clothe yourselves with love which binds everything together in perfect harmony...
