CHARTERING OF TUGS AND BARGES

SUPPLY OF SAND, COAL AND CHIP WOOD

Having been in the tug and barge business for around 30 years,

Zhong Yang has engaged in sea transportation of raw materials and trading businesses since its founding in 1983 by Mr. G.S. Tan.

During this period, Zhong Yang has worked with various clients

such as plywood mills, sawmills and forestry operators from Indonesia. Zhong Yang is also experienced in transporting coal.

In addition, we are currently supplying tug and barges to Asian

Paper & Pulp for the transportation of wood chips. Recently, Zhong Yang has ventured into the sand industry again by

transporting sand from Vietnam to Singapore.

Chip wood serves as raw material for pulp and paper.

Through our Indonesian associate PT. Transindo Bahari, we have

been providing transportation services for the pulp and paper industry for about 6 years.

Zhong Yang has been involved in the transportation of coal within

Indonesian waters since 1996. This includes trans-shipment of coal to larger vessels for export.

By arranging for coal to be shipped from coal mines in East Kali-

mantan to our clients, we have been supporting coal trading in South-East Asia and the immediate region.

Zhong Yang is experienced in transporting sand from Vietnam

and Myanmar for land reclamation projects by the Jurong Town Corporation (JTC), Singapore. We supply sand direct to JTC’s

main contractor.

By having multiple sources of sand in various different locations across Vietnam, we diversify our supply and hence reduce supply

risks and delays. Our sources include both river sand & sea sand.

We also ship from different Vietnamese ports such as My Thoi, Can Tho and Qui Nhon.

Our sand supply is based on long-term cooperation to ensure

both steady supply and good quality sand.

Currently, we are able to ship up to 300,000 tons per month,

and are in negotiations for further increase in supply.
