Single and multi partner applicants applications from organisations and enterprises.
Applicants request “researcher months” and provide structured research training (typically within framework of a PhD), targeted at needs of early stage researchers.
Bottom up, all disciplines that are eligible under FP6
Apply to a call deadline:
Evaluation and selection by the Commission with the help of independent experts.
Contract between the Commission and Host.

An example application
A University department of “image processing” submits an application to support 3 , 3 year PhD s and to provide 9 month PhD level post graduate training periods in the latest image optimisation research for 10 other early stage researchers. Under a personal tutor, training will combine a structured programme of hands on research within the research group and a series of of lectures in linked foundation subjects. In addition fellows will attend 2 courses of 5 days each on research management and presentation skills. Links will be made with other European universities providing PhD’s in this field and the opportunities will be published widely, including promotion of equal opportunities and the Marie Curie label.The application is for 198 fellow months.
