Mare Breeding Veterinary Contract between The Vet Centre, Richmond and OWNER__________________________________________________________________________________

The fee for breeding work carried out on the above mare for the 2015/2016 stud season is $550 plus GST for fresh semen and $750 plus GST for frozen semen.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Included in this fee:

a. Genital examinations, manual examinations, ultrasound scans (including 15day,28 day and 42 day pregnancy scans) twin management, artificial insemination and certification of pregnancy.

b. Caslicks and opening (excluding repair of severe damage occurred during foaling)

c. Routine administration of medications e.g. prostaglandins, oxytocin and rectal relaxants for the first cycle only. Subsequent 2nd and 3rd cycles incur an additional $50 plus GST medication fee per cycle.

2. Not included in this fee are:

a. Insurance examinations, IgG testing for foals, foaling and complications of foaling, farrier fees, transport fees, treatment of retained placentas, progesterone supplementation (e.g. Regumate), Uterine culture, cytology or biopsy and associated laboratory fees.

b. Sedation for scanning and serving (if required).

c. Non breeding related procedures such as dentals, worming, vaccinations, injury and illness treatments.

3. This contract covers breeding work carried out on the named mare for a maximum on 3 cycles.

4. All travel relating to the above named mare will be charged at 90 cents plus GST per km on a shared basis if possible.

5. This contract needs to be signed and returned prior to the commencement of any breeding work. Fees are payable on receipt of a signed contract.

6. This contract is not interchangeable between mares and is for the 2015/2016 breeding season only.

7. The mares owner declares that the named mare shall be healthy and in sound breeding condition.

8. The Vet Centre is not liable for any liable for any injury, accident or illness sustained to the mare.

9. In the event that the mare does not conceive, the Vet Centre will not be held responsible and payment of all fees incurred for services provided will be paid in full.
