Huge receipts here in Williams Lake today, as 1600 head of cattle hit the

sale ring. The quality today was incredible start to finish! Every buyer chair

in the place was filled. The C1 Ranch from Alexis Creek showcased just

under 400 head of powerful Angus cross calves. The first liner load of

Black Angus s/c’s, 629 lbs set the trend at 285.75, 52 head of their 617 lb.

s/c’s marked 296.75. The heavy boys, 715 lb. s/c’s raced to 259.25! The

lighter pen of 115 powerful s/c’s traded to 333.25. 36 head of 484 lb h/c’s

powered to 301.00. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co.-Alkali Lake Ranch Di-

vision saw their 705 lb angus x steers mark 259.25, their group of 845

lb steers saw 226.50. Scott & Janice Meyer of Quesnel saw their load of

749 lb black steers hit 248.25, their 823 lb black steers hit 229.25. Alf Nun-

weiller of Pr ince George showcased a load of 740 lb steers which

brought 254.75, their 634 lb steers sold to 289.00 and 675 lb red heifers

traded to 240.00. Murray Richards of Prince George came to town with 661

lb steers selling to 276.25, the 754 lb steers traded to 246.25 and the 506 lb

s/c’s rolled to 310.50. 24 head of their 589 lb black & red Char cross h/c’s

notched 270.25. J &A Baur set a pace today, their 748 lb steers notched

247.00, their big 735 lb heifers raced to 235.00. Tom & Donna Ilnicki saw

their 521 lb bwf h/c’s mark 294.75, their 491 lb s/c’s reached 343.00. Verlin

& Candice Jantz saw their 517 lb s/c’s race to 333.00 and their pen of

408 s/c’s powered to 375.00, the 452 lb s/c notched 363.00. Ken & Ginger

Cameron saw their 642 lb steers from Quesnel trade to 272.00. Barker

Creek Ranch’s 466 lb black heifers reached 302.5. Anvil Mountain’s

460 lb s/c’s brought 341.00. Al & Marg Furrer 1805 lb bred cows topped

139.75. The Guichon Creek Ranch showcased 44 top calves, their 500

lb angus cross s/c’s notched 333.50. Dave & Lenore Reimer today set a

pace with a liner load of heifers, their 41 head of 457 lb x bred h/c’s pow-

ered to 317.50, the 548 lb h/c’s notched 279.25. Murray Richard’s 1571 lb

butcher cows marked 135.50. A sincere thank you to all our buyers and

contributors, this was one powerful sale.

20TH ANNUAL PINE BUTTE RANCH BULL SALE

The huge Pine Butte Ranch, Ray Van Steinburg’s Horned Hereford Bull

Sale held in Kamloops Saturday Feb 21st was a huge success start to fin-

ish. Quality this year again was 1st class and a capacity crowd of interest-

ed rancher’s kept this sale at a fast pace. The 2 high selling Hereford bulls

158A and 5A both sold to the volume buyer the Douglas Lake Cattle Co.

for $7000.00. Peter & Sharon Philip selected 113A for $6750.00. The

Springfield Cattle Co. selected 138A for $6750.00, they were also vol-

ume buyers. Mike & Tony Bayliff, volume buyers again this year, selected

23A for $6750.00. Harry & Marilyn Clemitson selected 2 powerful herd

bulls 97A & 139A., each bull at $6250.00. The Frolek Cattle Co. and the

Coldstream Ranch along with Dirk Vandermeer and Brian & Kim

Stuart were also volume buyers at this incredible sale. A sincere thank

you to all the bidders, buyers & visitors at our 20th annual Pine Butte

Sale. Many thanks to Ray, Hugh, Lynette and their crew from all of us at

BC Livestock.

OK FALLS SALE—MONDAY FEBRUARY 23RD

Well another exciting sale here in the Falls. Just a real good mix of butch-

er cows and bulls along with feeder cattle. Brenda Leir put the power to

the butcher trade with 1535 lb young butcher cows at 147.00 and big good

mature butcher cows, 1680 lbs at 133.00. Ian & Bev Smith had 1410 lb

butcher cows power to a sale top of 157.50. The Mehmal Ranch had 1950

lb butcher bulls at 155.00. Brenda Kelly had 1175 lb cows to 138.00. Vir-

ginia Manning saw her 1735 lb butcher cows notch 132.50. The

Princeton Stock Ranch had 2115 lb butcher bulls got 155.50. Fossen

Air Ranch blew the doors off with 1180 lb butcher cows topping the

sale for the week at 138.25. Their 758 lb steers marked 237.00, their 660

lb steers reached 273.00, their 528 lb h/c’s saw 289.00. Norman Breen

saw his 520 lb h/c’s mark 288.50. The Harper Ranch saw their 658 lb h/

c’s trade to 237.50, 683 lb steers at 262.00. Thank you to all our contribu-

tors and buyers today. It was one exciting sale.

Well another excellent sale here in Kamloops as 350 head of cattle hit the

sale ring. Neil Turner of Sunnybrae Farms put the power to the butcher

trade with 1613 lb butcher cows at 133.50. Lee Cunningham had 1365 lb

butcher cows mark 133.00. Hans Berger’s 1540 lb kill cows sell to 135.00.

Hiwan Ranch’s 2410 lb bulls hit 154.25. Feeder cattle were strong. Gail

Joe had 565 lb h/c’s mark 275.00 and 410 lb s/c’s at 330.00 and 480 lb

h/c’s at 314.00. The Old Roper Field Ranch had 500 lb Hereford s/c’s top

331.00 and 588 lb Hereford h/c’s at 266.00. Len & Marvin Tonn from Ke-

lowna saw their 563 lb red & blk angus h/c’s reach 304.00, a package of

their 481 lb char x h/c’s notched 320.00. The big heifers, 538 lb all char x

raced to 318.00. The Coldstream Ranch again presented us with a top pen

of calves, their 536 lb angus x h/c’s marked 320.00. Doreen & Leslie Harry

from Merritt had 460 lb s/c’s mark 350.00. Bob Posadorsky of Beaverdell

had 805 lb blk steers hit 239.00, the 630 lb blk steers reached 280.00, the

775 lb angus heifers brought 222.00. Cactus Country Farms 513 lb s/c’s

sold to 330.00, their 544 lb red h/c’s brought 305.00. Andrew Finnerty of

Pemberton had 660 lb black s/c’s sell to 284.50. Ed & Marie & Mathew

Hazelwood showcased a beautiful group of 769 lb angus steers selling

to 251.75, the 655 lb blk steers topped 286.00. Warren MacLennan’s 673 lb

h/c’s brought 237.50. Maiden Creek Ranch’s 793 lb heifers sold to 229.00.
