Real Life Wisdom
The very rst Boeing 727 ever made, back in 1962, wasscheduled to make its last ight today. Passengers werelike, “Cool, I’ll take the next ight.” ~ Jimmy Fallon
It is being widely reported that there is solid, photographicproof linking Hillary Clinton to a known terrorist
organization. An editor at Politico was tipped off that inHillary Clinton’s book “Living History,” Hillary includeda picture of her family in 1959 with their cat — ISIS!
That’s right, Hillary Clinton’s childhood cat was namedISIS. This is the most shocking political pet news since
Jimmy Carter revealed his childhood cat’s name wasAyatollah Katmeini. Politico isn’t claiming that Hillary
Clinton named her cat after ISIS. We have to leave openthe possibility that ISIS named themselves after Hillary’scat. ~ Stephen Colbert

Members o MontanaFarm Bureau traveled toWashington, D.C. or theAmerican Farm BureauIssues Advisory CommitteeMeetings and AgriculturalAdvocacy Conerence. Te
meetings, held February 22-25, centered around topics oimportance to armers andranchers. MFBF memberswere appointed to serve onfive o the 15 committees. urk Stovall, a rancherrom Billings serving on theAnimal Care Committee, talked about challenges o theinitiative o turning buffaloout onto the rangeland. “I
explained why this isn’t onlya property rights problem, but a disease issue with theconcern o brucellosis. I westart spreading bison acrossthe state, there could be areal threat to livestock andpublic health.” Bruce Wright, a smallagricultural business ownerrom Bozeman, serves on
the Farm Policy Committee.
“We said because o Obama’slatest budget, crop insurancecuts were a concern. Ourcommittee’s position is itwould be harmul to readjustunding in the new arm billwhen we are barely hal way
into implementing it. ryingto tamper with the arm billafer all the work that hasgone into it is not good,” saidWright. Larry Switzer, aRichey cattle rancher, saidthe meeting o the MarketStructures Committeeprimarily revisited aresolution they haddeveloped at last year’s
meetings on bondingrequirements or livestockdealers and the current costo cattle. “We had a speakerrom the CFC talk tous about high requencytrading,” Switzer said.“Apparently high requencytrading means they can do200 trades per second. Tebelie is we need to slow
that down or commodities,as it’s not viable to use it orhedging and it’s just a papertrade that does nothing orcommodity producers.”om DePuydt, who serveson the Federal LandsCommittee, said his groupocused on the AntiquitiesAct and the new nationalmonuments. “Sometimesit eels like we are fighting
a winless battle,” DePuydtsaid. “Farmers and ranchersare less than two percento the population and wehave 12 states with ederalands. One o the concernswe voiced was that the loca
input o ederal agencies isofen ignored. We talkedabout wild horses and burrosin western states being ahuge problem, with theexpense o holding them andthe concerns around landmanagement.” On the last day inWashington, D.C ., thegroup attended the MontanaBreakast on Capito
Hill where they visitedwith Senator Jon esterSenator Steve Daines andRepresentative Ryan Zinke. Each member o thegroup had an issue to talkwith their congressmenabout. “My topic was SenatorRoberts labeling bill,”said Wright. “Gary talkedabout regulatory reorm
urk talked about Bureauo Indian Affairs issuesincluding land purchasingom visited about publiclands, bison and theAntiquities Act and Larrydiscussed trade. Tey wereopen to hearing our ideasand certainly RepresentativeZinke and Senator Dainesshowed strong support orour issues.”

They Love to Read! In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday yesterday, Mrs. Stutheit made
these Truffula trees for Irle School’s K-1 hall. Pictured with
the trees in their Dr. Seuss hats are the students of Mrs.
Stutheit’s Kindergarten class. “I Love to Read Week”
continues through tomorrow at Glasgow schools. Did
you know Theodor Seuss Geisel (he adopted his “Dr.
Seuss” pen name during his university studies at Dartmouth
College and the University of Oxford) would be 112 this
year? He was born on March 2, 1904. While he is no longer
with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He
forever changed the way children’s books were written
and continues to inspire generations. Across the country,
thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers
participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books.
