People: For he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
Pastor: who may ascend the hill of the lord? who may stand in his holy place?
People: He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD.
Pastor: lift up your heads, o you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

PalM sunday
written by theodulph, bishop of orleans while
imprisoned in 820, this Palm sunday hymn combines the past, present
and future songs of praise to Jesus. for what are you praising Jesus today?

Palm Processional (8:45 and 11:15) lighting of the candles Placement of the bible Prayer of confession (8:45 & 11:15) Lord Jesus, we sing your praises and call you our king. But
our praises are too quickly silenced and our obedience to your leading is often half-hearted. When you demand too much, we are likely to draw back from you much like the crowd that greeted you in Jerusalem. Forgive us when we proclaim your rule over us with our words, but reject you in the way we live. You were wounded and crushed for our sins. You were crucified so that we might find healing. Incline our hearts toward you in love and thankfulness as we continue to offer our confessions in silence . . .

*congregational response Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing................................................neTTleTon O to grace how great a debtor, daily I’m constrained to be; Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love Here’s my heart: O, take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above.

Pastoral Prayer and the lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

the composer of this hymn text, elizabeth c.
clephane, was given the nickname “sunbeam” because of her philanthropic work among the
poor. the text came from her personal reflections on the cross and was first published shortly after her death
in 1869.
using Psalm 24 in his oratorio Messiah, handel depicts the
Passover crowd calling into the
city of Jerusalem, beckoning the great gates to open wide
and welcome her King.

want support and clarity on how to communicate with their children in
emotionally healthy ways. A first step is having mom and dad join forces.
