We encourage you to buy insurance on your newly purchased bull to protect your investment. Insurance agents will be available to you on sale day and all bulls will be insurable at that time. However if your Bull or Female should fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he or she will be replaced with a bull or heifer of equal value. If this cannot be agreed upon, an adjustment will be made or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another one of our animals.

Please check your animal frequently and contact us early on if you have any questions or concerns. Double Bar D Farms will not be responsible for any fi nancial loss above the purchase price of the animal. Double Bar D Farms will not cover the loss if an animal has been mismanaged or physi-cally injured, however, we will assist you in providing another bull to use, if yours has a problem. Welcome to our Eighth Annual Sale. This is your invitation to our eighth annual bull and female sale. We want to thank you for your continued support and confi dence in our program.

We are excited about the offering in this year’s sale as the selection comes from a greater number each year. On offer is maybe the largest group of polled, full Fleck Fullbloods anywhere, along with all polled red and black Simmental that are being developed from Fleckvieh Fullbloods which makes them an outcross pedigree. The Red Angus are of excellent quality.

As most of you know, Double Bar D Farms is entirely family owned (Richard and Marcia and sons, Ken (Shauna) and Mark (Julie) plus fi ve wonderful grand children) and operated along with an excellent staff. Our farm is diversifi ed with both cattle and grain. 2008 plans are to seed 15,000 acres of cash crops and breed over 700 Simmental and Angus females. Needless to say this keeps everyone busy.

We remain very optimistic in both sectors (beef and grain). As food grains increase in value we feel the consumers will be increasing their consump-tion of nutritious beef. So hopefully our end product of beef will also increase in value.

All sale cattle have been on a complete health and immunization program. Check with Ken on details. We also take pride in the fact that none of the sale cattle feet have been trimmed. This does not mean that they are all perfect, but at least you can see what you get.

Welcome to Double Bar D “Best of Both Worlds” bull and female sale, where yet again, the Dimler families are hosting one of the most anticipated sales in the country. This group of sale cattle was a real pleasure to sort through when I toured back the fi rst week in January. I appreciated the muscle mass, thick hair coats, temperament, and correct structure that the Double Bar D has been emphasizing in their breeding program. These qualities on very large numbers is impressive, and then add in the polled factor, and you have quite an accomplishment. This has been their program for many years which has resulted in the “go-to-place” for multi-polled Fullblood Fleckvieh genetics.This year offers even more depth and power in this division with greater numbers to choose from.

The Red and Black Simmental divisions offer an even stronger front end this year that have real eye appeal and dimension to them. Again it is the selection possibilities that make this group so powerful and earns respect. Right along side this group is what I think is the best set of Red Angus bulls I have seen at the Double Bar D in my 6 years with Transcon Livestock. The uniformity of the individual sire groups is a real testament to the breeding ability of their walking bull battery.

This statement is true for the Simmentals as well. Double Bar D believes in the strength of elite walking bulls and it shows in this years sale offering.

Not to be over-shadowed is the annual opportunity you have to tap into this great herd of cows. Again there will be a mouth watering selection of breeding age heifers to pick from. There is always room for one more, right?
