Daniel Rosenberg is an air conditioning instructor at Southern Technical College. He graduated from Pasco Hernando College in Port Richey where he received an Associates of Science Degree in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Trades. He was employed as an HVAC tech with Petroleum Heat and Power in northern New Jersey for 16 years. Since 2004, he has worked as a licensed air conditioning contractor and is the owner of Cooling Consultants, LLC.

Southern Technical College is looking for

a 2015 Graduation Commencement

Speaker!

To qualify, you must:

- ·Have a 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher

- Be a recent STC graduate

- Have the ability to speak to an audience

of 1500 people at the Bradenton

Convention Center on May 1st, 2015.

- Want to share your college success story.

To be nominated as the 2015 Graduate

Speaker, you must submit a 5 minute

written speech to your Career Services

Department. The Graduation Committee will

nominate one graduate speech from each

campus, and the final five graduate

speeches will be reviewed by the corporate

office to choose the winner.

The deadline for submitting your written

speech to Career Services is March 6th,

2015.

On May 1st, 2015, the Southern Technical

College 2015 Graduation Commencement

Ceremony will be held in the Bradenton

Area Convention Center at 6:00 pm.

To be eligible to participate in the

Ceremony, you must:

- ·Successfully complete all classes and

externship by April 30th

- Complete exit interview/paperwork with

Financial Aid and Career Services

- Attend a Grad Gala and order a cap and

gown no later than April 3rd.

Windell Mejia is a twenty-four year old

native of Nicaragua who began his education

at Southern Technical College in September

of 2014. Windell has a great desire to

develop skills in programmable logic

controllers (PLCs) from his experience as a

maintenance technician for Coca-Cola.  PLCs

are the future of electrical automation

control; they integrate microprocessors and

software into the electrical systems of

factories, roadway and intersection lighting

controls, vending machines, and many more

unmanned control systems.  Windell entered

STC with litt le to no knowledge of electrical

system design, but with his outstanding level

of motivation and zeal to discover and learn

the aspects of electrical automation, he

excelled in his courses and succeeded in

programming a traff ic signal.  With

individuals as passionate as Windell in this

developing f ield, we are looking forward to

many exciting advances in the future.
