“NewLife” Notes Fear Not.
The promises of God are truly “great andprecious” once we begin to lay hold of them.Even before we lay hold of them they arequite appealing to us, and we long for them.However, for the men in our “NewLife”
Program there is a great chasm separating
them from laying hold of the promises theysee written in the Scriptures. That chasm isfear.
When Israel first stood on the edge of thePromised Land they withdrew in fear. Theywere then held outside the Promise becausethey did not trust that the Lord would seethem into the Promised Land. What were they
afraid of?
What they were afraid of is the same thing
that affects our men. God has ordained that the path to the Promised Land is through the battle! Trusting the Lord for victory demandsthe battle take place.
It is fairly common knowledge, these days,that the number one most repeated commandof Scripture is, “fear not.” It takes genuinecourage to “fight the good fight” even thoughthe victory is guaranteed.
‘Encouragement’ means ‘to put courage in’.Here in the “NewLife” Program we areputting courage in our men for their battlesahead by working to convince them that theLord is trustworthy. I am always excitedwhen a man chooses to trust the Lord, facesthe battle and claims the promise!
Serving Him with your help,
Pastor Aaron

Director’s HE LIVES, HE LIVES,Desk
Don Bettis YES, JESUS IS ALIVE !
The resurrection of our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christshould be the m ost significantevent in the life of anyChristian— except for their own
personal salvation experience. Theresurrection solidifies our faith, gives us hopeand assures us eternal life with Him (becauseHe lives, we also shall live). Paul tells us in ICorinthians 15:19, “If in this life only we
have hope in Christ, we are of all men most
miserable”. He continues, “but now is Christ risen from the dead”. Then Paul recalls thelife of Christ in I Corinthians 15:3-4, “how
that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures; and He was buried, and He rose
again the third day according to the
scriptures”. I am so thankful that what the Scriptures
says happened as they were prophesied andour hope for a resurrected, eternal life wasmade possible by Christ’s victory over death.Yes, because He lives we will also live. Do
you have this hope?The soon return of our Lord is at hand, it
has been promised and weather or not youbelieve it, it is immanent—it is going tohappen! Can we say with John, “even so,
come quickly, Lord Jesus”. If you cannotsay this or if you are not ready for His return,It is my prayer that you will get ready now—before it is eternally too late! Bro. Don
Because He Lives
God sent His Son,
They called Him Jesus;
He came to love,
Heal, and forgive;
He lived and died
To buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there
To prove my Savior lives.
One day I’ll cross the river;
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain;
And then as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory,
And I’ll know He lives.
Because He lives I can face tomorrow;
Because He lives all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living
Just because He lives. Bill and Gloria Gaither
Remember this—
Jesus loves you.
How do I know—
The Bible told me so.
