    A heart-felt missionPeddling, pushing and collecting pledges were what these

    kids were out doing on a sprinkling, but warm, Sunday

    afternoon. A couple of them will be Jumping Rope for Heart

    and are raising money for the American Heart Association.

    March 16th, the 54th day o the session. Te House billare coming over in droves to the Senate. Te BIG discussions will be the Medicaid expansionor various plans and the Budget. Te House is takingup the budget (HB2) this week. Te budget will be thlast act o the Legislature beore we sine die (adjourn)I am drafing a major inrastructure bill and we wilbe hearing this in the next upcoming days. It still iin rough draf and we are meeting with democratand republicans to make this a compromise bill thahopeully the Governor will sign.

    Te Governor has on his desk my SB88 that affectconservation districts in their bidding process. Tibill just allows them the same monetary ($80,000.00amounts as cities and counties when it come to thbidding process. oday the House will be voting onmy SB89 that makes supreme court justices and districcourt judges report their campaign donations, etc., thesame way we legislators do to political practices. Last week my senate bills, (247 prohibit sagegrouse hunting), (248 require identification olegislative comment), (283 revise laws related toconstituent accounts or legislators), (284 approval orcounty commissioners or bison translocation in theicounty), and (376 revise laws regarding state agencyuse o recovered indirect costs:slush unds) were heardMore on this later as they wend through the House. It is always good to see young olks here in Helenaand last week the Opheim high school students andtheir advisors Becky Dowden and Shane Bartschi wereat the Capitol. All or now.
