This should have read ANY men! (sorry Val ) So, if you know any friends or family who would like to join our merry ranks, please do not hesitate to put them in touch. There is also a slight change in audition dates... the audition on the 14 th is now for both men and women. We have begun selling tickets already for this show, and would like to announce that the first night will be BOGOF, a bargain offer at two for the price of one! Think of it as a perfect chance to introduce a friend to the ‘phoenix experience’. To benefit from this deal, please speak to either Val Bird, Paul Clasby, or visit our website at www.phoenixstage.co.uk Travelling Shows We were a little worried that only one person approached a committee member to express their interest in helping out; but, like a bolt of lightning, realisation struck us that in fact the reason for no one contacting us was that you were all so enthusiastic about the idea, you all naturally assumed you would be involved, and so therefore didn’t feel the need to confirm. As such, we have put all your names on our list of interested volunteers! All joking aside, this is a really worth while thing to help out with. It really does give a sense of community pride, and also helps to raise the Phoenix’ profile in the local area. The more willing and able participants we have, the better quality of show we can put on. We really are calling on you to lend your voices! if you really don’t want to help out in any of the future travelling shows, if you really don’t feel that you have anything of value to offer by way of singing, dancing, acting, playing the piano, writing sketches, organising, meeting our local community, making them happy etc then please feel free to let us know Socials Quiz night Well done to team ‘Shy Ted,’ consisting of Mandy, Jane, Joe, Keith, Wayne and Steve for beating all the odds... and everyone else. This was a very successful, fun night which raised £50, even though this was not a fundraising event! A huge thank you goes first to everybody who attended making this a brilliant social evening, to Peter for doing a wonderful job on all the lovely grub, and Val for the wonderful utilisation of modern technology during the music questions. Future Socials The committee are hard at work to organise the next social night, news of which will follow in the next newsletter. If you have any ideas about what might like us to arrange, please do let us know.

in any of the future travelling shows, if you really don’t feel that you have anything of value to offer

A couple of CONGRATULATIONS are in order!

First is to Lewis Bailey whose debut play Agatha Christie’s A Spider’s Web, with his new company,
