Going it alone can be tough.

The dictionary definition of a partnership is

A relationship between individuals or groups that is characterised by mutualcooperation and responsibility, as for the achievement of a specified goal.

The key work there for me is mutual. Mutual involvement for mutual benefit.

Maptek has a strong history of partnership.

Last year Maptek turned 30.

If you read or heard the story about how it got started you will know that

partnership was key.

Bob was working as a consultant and constrained by the preparation of plans,

limiting his ability to work. The operation was also held back by the plan

preparation delay so there was a mutual problem.

Vulcan was Bobs solution to that problem and partnerships with sites were

essential to Vulcans development.

Partnership remains an essential part of product development.

The 4400 scanners were the first to incorporate digital cameras and telescope,

creating simple field workflows. The ideas were the result of a partnership;

discussions between Pete Johnson and a surveyor.

This event is all about partnership. You the industry experts, who daily use our

products to solve challenges. And you have a partnership with each other as

peers in your profession, as shown by your willingness to present and share your

experience for the mutual benefit of others.

Eureka and BlastLogic which you will here more about this week are both a direct

result of partnerships.

Today I am going to take you through a function in I-Site Studio that came about

through a partnership.
