CAUTIONS WITH THE ELECTRICAL GRID

To avoid damage to the wiring, it is important that all conductors are properly attached to the automation. Wiring must be done through conduits, passing internally through the base of the fl oor, ensuring that none of the wiring conductors are trapped and damaged.

It is mandatory that the ground terminal is connected to the ground cable.

IMPORTANT

The device must be powered by a residual current (DR) device with a rated residual current exceeding 30 mA.

CARE WITH THE GATE BEFORE AUTOMATION

Before adapting the machine to the gate, check the sliding by following the instructions below:

Step 1: Before Installing the automation, check if the gate is in good mechanical condition, ie opening and closing properly. Open the gate manually and observe the eff ort required. This eff ort should be minimal for the entire length of the course.

Step 2: Close the gate manually and check whether the exertion exerted was the same as the previous operation. The gate shall have a sturdy and, as far as possible, non-deformable structure. The pulleys shall be of diameter conforming to the dimensions of the gate, in perfect running condition and mounted in such a way that the gate leaf has stability throughout its displacement. We recommend sheaves with a diameter of at least 120 mm.The fi gures below represent the two types of rails and pulleys used. The system that uses straight section (Figure A - angle bracket) presents greater friction and consequently greater wear. The circular section (Figure B) allows a better displacement of the gate and less friction for the automation.

CONDuIT

FIGURE A FIGURE B

10 11

Step 3: Make sure that the door leaf does not jam in the opening and closing movement. The sliding gate rail shall be perfectly rectilinear, level, unobstructed periodically from any element or dirt which makes it difficult to slide the pulleys over their entire length, as shown in the figure below.

INSTALATION AND FIXATION OF THE AUTOMATOR

Before installing the automation system, remove any unnecessary cables and disable any equipment or system connected to the mains.

EQUIPMENT DIMENSIONS

The correct operation of this equipment depends on the instructions in this manual. To fix the equipment, proceed as follows:

Step 1: Make sure that the floor is firm enough so that the equipment can be screwed so that it is level. If it does not comply with the requirement, provide a concrete base, following the guidelines below:

Step 2: Base dimensions should be appropriate for the dimensions of the automation. The concrete base should be at a distance of approximately 20 mm from the face of the door leaf.

Step 3: Once the conditions have been met, open entirely the gate and position the automator next to the face of the gate leaf, obeying the 50 mm measurement between the leaf end and the automator.

SIDE VIEW

CONCRETE BASE

12 13

Step 4: Pre-align the automation to the gate, positioning the rack over the gear and pushing the assembly against the gate. Then mark the fixing holes in the floor or concrete base.

Step 5: Drill for fastening by positioning the automator aligned to the gate. Before tightening the S ¼ “x 2 ½” bolts, move the gate, making sure that it does not lean against the automator during its course. If this occurs, pull back the automation.

Step 6: With the automator unlocked, position the rack bar on the gear and aligned with the gate.It is necessary to leave approximately a clearance of 2 mm between the top of the gear tooth and the bottom of the cog of the rack.

Step 7: Secure the rack to the entire length of the door leaf with solder or screw every 300 or 400 mm.

Step 8: If the door leaf is warped, provide shims to ensure the alignment of the rack. There are cases where the rack should pass the length of the sheet. In this case, arrange a French hand so that you do not jump its teeth when starting the machine.

Step 9: After attaching the rack, firmly attach the automation to the floor or concrete base, tightening the bolts.

ANALOG END OF COURSE INSTALLATION

Step 1: With the gate closed, place the magnet holder in the rack, positioned in front of the REED of the automation. This magnet will act as a closing course end.

Step 2: Open completely the gate and place the other magnet holder on the rack, facing the automated REED. This magnet will act as an end of course of opening.

Step 3: Start the engine and see if the REED’s are shutting off properly.

If necessary, invert the connector on the board. After attaching the magnet holders, make final adjustments by moving them to the right or left, depending on the setting you want.

Step 4: To finalize the installation of the automation, it is mandatory before turning it on, screwing the fairing with 2 x 3.5 x 16 mm screws (available in the kit).
