What is Manual Handling?The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as amended) apply to work which involves lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying.

Lifting and moving loads manually is one of the most common causes of injury at work.

Why is dealing with manual handling important?Manual handling injuries can have serious implications for the employer and the person who has been injured.
