While employed at Pleximetal S.A. I had the chance to work with sheet acrylic, polycarbonate, wood and metal on projects like speaker casings, shop signs, furniture, shop stands, coin trays, canopies and the renovation of the Byzantine museum of Athens, being highly involved in both the design and the manufacturing process. —NATIONAL PRINTING HOUSETwo years long placement as a graphic design apprentice (2006-2008).

Employed in the Phototypesetting Department of the Greek National Printing House, working with Adobe software “In Design” and “Photoshop”.

The aim of this project was to create a design solution for a one–off research vehicle that is being developed by the Automotive Research Department of the University of Bradford. This vehicle is a human powered tricycle that features an electric motor, which combined with a torque sensor creates a “green” everyday commuter vehicle for road use. The needed

design solution has to transform the steel tube construction of the tricycle into a aesthetically pleasing and desirable commuter vehicle that will offer comfort, practicality, economy and joy to the user. Although this is a “one–off” vehicle, it is be able to make a competitive product in the European electric recumbent tricycles and bicycles market.

The “VAiD” mug features an analog mechanismthat produces an alarming sound when the mug is fi lled. It is dishwasher “friendly” and simple to use. To reload the mexhanism the user has to simply position the mug upside down after washing it. Designed for the visually impaired.

SQD is a rotomoulded sea bicycle that is inspired by the shape of a squid. It is driven by one person’s pedaling and changes direction using a joystick. It can be transformed into a sunbed and also features waterproof storage space.
