Utilization of Food

Grains.

It has been focussed on importance of grains, current status, its classification and also on processing and utilization of food grains to make new products. The products made from different grains have been summarized.

Investigation

Fabricated rice from broken rice:

Development and characterization.

Broken rice has very least utilization so my investigation focused on utilizing broken rice and further converting them into fabricated rice which has got similar properties and least cooking time compare to unbroken rice.

New Product Development

Developed new

product– “BEETRU”

Beetru is beetroot squash which was prepared by me in my undergraduation as a part of my co-curriculum without any use of preservative. The product has got shelf life of 10 days under refrigerated conditions and this drink can be reconstituted easily with water or soda. The drink is liked by every age group people.

In plant training for 6 weeks in Canning industry, Jumbo International, Jumbo house,

okhla-3, New delhi-110020,

Experience: Worked in both production and quality lab. Done chemical analysis

related to water and also worked on Ready to eat tomato sauce, worked on checking

quality of raw material and then also how it goes through each and every step before

processing in retort.
