3.3 Load capacity

Z-C Box THe Z-C Boxes wih a cast iron cover withstand without fracture the design load of 125 kN (12,5 Tonne) in accordance with European Standard EN 124 / Class B125, (group 1 and 2)

without the use of any additional strengthening material (i.e. concrete is not necessary)

Therefore they can be used at all areas without heavy traffic, e.g. pedestrian ares, car park

areas, car parking garage.

Z-P Box THe Z-P boxes with a plastic cover are designed for installation at places without traffic load

(group 1 in accordance with EN 124, e.g. pedestrian areas without traffic, bicycle lane).

Provided tat the plastic cover is located at least 500 mm below surface level, they are also

suitable for places of installation into grooup 2 and 3 in accordance with EN 124.

The Z-Box has a Specific Tangential Initial Stiffness (STIS) of not less than 15 kN/m².

(10 times the requirement of BS 5834).

The Z-Box withstands without fracture a horizontal pressure of not less than 33 kN/m² in accordance with the

former FTZ 736 2 TV 1 from the Deutsche Telekom.

3.4 Versions

Order-related, the manholes were equipped with required connections (e. g. 4x DN 100; 2x 50/40/32)

For the manhole versions Z6 and Z8 additional height compensation in steps of 200 mm is possible by usingbottom parts “M” .

Optionally the manholes can be delivered with lockable cover.

Optionally an additional sealing for cover and bottom can be delivered to reach water tightness according

IP 53.
