Student Feedback mechanism on institutional governance/ Faculty performance

Beginning of every semester feedback is taken from the students by faculty. In addition bimonthly quality circle meetings and feedback Performa filling are also conducted to take the feedback

Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students

A grievance redressal committee consisting of few Heads of Departments and senior faculty under

the Chairmanship of the Principal is in place to enquire into and recommended suitable measures

to redress grievance of faculty, staff and students.

Mechanism/Norms &Procedure for democratic/good Governance, Student Feedback on Institutional

Governance/faculty performance

Parent Teacher Association in every branch of study, class committee of staff and students,

college committee of senior professors and a disciplinary committee help smooth functioning of

the college. They meet periodically, discuss and decide on good governance and implementation.

These forums also provide very purposeful feedback for analyzing and improving upon such

procedures. In addition, norms prescribed or suggested by superior bodies such as AICTE,

Kannur University, industry etc. are followed and suitable mechanism is worked out for the same.

Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements

The Faculty and students are fully and constructively involved in the academic as well as co-

curricular and extracurricular activities. The students are highly disciplined and motivated. The

faculties are devoted to the task of teaching and training. The system of industrial training is a

grand success and model for industry-institute partnership. All the events such as seminars,

symposia, conferences and other programs are organized by teams of staff and students.

In addition to the normal classroom teaching and practical classes, the faculty give them

additional classes after working hours, encourage them to do useful projects, take them for

industrial visits and encourage students to deliver seminars etc. Educational tour is conducted

every year. Feed back from students is taken in the form of quality circle meeting, and also by

feedback forms filled up by students. Intercollegiate technical workshops, seminars, exhibitions,

extension services to students of other institutions of this locality etc are done.
