Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII)
examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or
its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and
Biology/Mathematics ANDSecured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out
of 300 marks in case of open category and minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135
marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only
to Maharashtra State in the subjects Physics,Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics added
together (Maximum of marks obtained in Biology/Mathematics shall be considered for the
purpose of addition) AND Obtained a non Zero score at MHT-CET. MHT-CET is
compulsory for only B.Pharmacy admissions.
M. Pharm.:
Candidate should be an Indian National and who possess Bachelors degree orequivalent in
Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institutions, with at least 55 % marks for open
category (at least 50% marks in case of SC/ST category belonging to Maharashtra State
only) & should have valid Non zero GPATScore.The candidate shuld have registration
with State Pharmacy Council. The candidates not having registration should produce the

Ceremony:
“Fresher’s Party-2K18” was celebrated enthusiastically on 23rd
October 2018. The day was celebrated as ‘Freshers party and Prize
Distribution Ceremony’. The day was inaugurated at the hands of
Hon. Mr. ZapkeSir President, Sangola shikshan prasarak mandal;
Sangola in the presence of Dr. Ingawale Sir, President SKVPM, Miss.
Ingawale, Secretory, SKVPM Mr. Ghongade M.S, Dr. Bendgude R, Dr.
Ganure A.L. were the dignitaries.
Mr. Javalgikar A.S. elaborated the achievements of the college in
various fields like research, curricular, extracurricular and other
areas. Hon. Shri Zapke Sir emphasized about the importance of Youths
in today’s society and the need to create more knowledgeable
professionals today. Dr.Bendgude R spoke about the student
development. The prize distribution ceremony saw many excellent
achievers felicitated by the guest of Honor. Prizes for curricular,
extracurricular, research etc were handed down to students.
The evening cultural programme was inaugurated by Miss. Ingawale
Madam, Dr.Patil M.S, Dr. Ganure A.L, Mr. Mali N.N., Mr. Kale S.S, Mr.
Koli R.M were the dignitaries. Students showed their skills in various
events as follows: Solo Dance, Group Dance, Solo Singing, Duet
Singing, Fashion Show, One Act Play, Skit, Mime, Mimicry tec. The
events were judged by renowned personalities and prizes as Mr. and
Miss. SCPM were awarded.

Sports
Activities
The sports have helped our institute to build spirit, courage and
unity. Our college conducts sports week every year. Both indoor
and outdoor games are conducted. Cricket, volleyball, chess,
carrom, badminton are played and students are awarded for their
performance according to merit. Students showed their talent in
various Solapur University level competition and now looking
ahead to grab top ranks in all upcoming sports and games.
Magazine/
Newsletter
Magazines have a great educative value. It encourages the students
to think and write. It helpful for develop their writing skills, talent,
and power of thinking and strengthen their imagination. In this way,
we prepared magazines to teach the students the value of co-
operation and encourage healthy competition.
The college publishes an annual magazine named “Pharmakon”,
which reflects the achievements, progress and activities of various
departments. It contains articles on various topics in all the three
languages i.e. English, Hindi, Marathi. Students are encouraged to
contribute articles to the magazine.
NSS Scheme Sahyadri college of Pharmacy, Methwade is affiliated to NSS
department of Solapur University Solapur. The institute has NSS
unit of 50 students for Year 2017 -2018.The College students had
successfully participated in different activities for the social welfare
covered under NSS. Our NSS volunteers had accomplished regular
activities for the betterment of society. In regular activities’ students
worked with village, slums to complete regular activities during the
academic year 2017-2018. In this activity students organized and
actively participated in Blood Donation camp at college and swatch
Bharat abhiyan with street act play at sangola. Student also
celebrates Teachers day, World AIDS day, Mahatma Gandhi birth
anniversary and other competitions carried out at our college.
Students also organize rally in village under subject Swatch Bharat
Abhiyan. Cultural Programme on National Integrity, Health Camp,
Importance of Water Purification, Plantation and Community
Hygiene, national Youth Day’, Celebration of ‘World Pharmacist
Day’, etc were conducted under NSS.

Cell
In the global era the need of college level research is rightly tapped
by our college. There is an increasing need to invent more and more
new medicines along with the newer dosage forms to counter the
new diseases. The college gives encouragement in all possible ways
to the faculty and students to strengthen the research activities of
the college. It is a matter of great pride and uniqueness to our
college has well equipped animal house, Central instrument
laboratory, Machine room and M.Pharm and B. Pharm &D.Pharm
students have contributed towards research significantly reflecting
into numerous national and international publications and
presentations. The various research area are explored by faculty
with the help of sophisticated equipments like, Rotary Tablet
compression/Punching machine, Automated Dissolution test
apparatus, HPLC,UV-Visible spectrophotometer, FTIR, Brookfield
viscometer, Laminar Air Flow, Analgesiometer, Rota Rod
Apparatus, Kymograph, Projection Microscope, Incinerator,
Moisture Balance, Clevenger’s Apparatus etc. All the faculty
members and students are involved in carrying out various research
projects. Various research papers are publish in reputed journals &
presented at various National and International conferences.
Industrial and
Hospital
Visit/ Tours
Industrial visit was carried out at Vamsi Labs Pvt. Ltd & Smruthi
Organics Ltd. Solapur on 21th
December 2018 especially for
Diploma final year students. The main objective behind the visit
was to make student aware about how various activities carried out
in industry includes reporting of batch manufacturing record,
distribution and storage of drug, lay out of Industry, production of
semisolid, solids and give them feel role of pharmacist as soon as
they start their work in industry. The students visited different
department of Industry like Ware house, Weighing area,
Manufacturing Area, Quality assurance department, Assembling
Area, Packaging Area etc. The various equipment, departments and
its applications were also keenly observed by our students. This
made our students to correlate their theory with practical
application in Industrial field.
Hospital visit was carried out at Uma Hospital Jath. on 28th
December 2018 especially for Diploma final year students. The
main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about
how various activities includes reporting, distribution of drug, lay
out of hospital, work in sterile department are carried out in
hospital and give them feel role of pharmacist as soon as they start
their work.

The visit started by administrative department of about hospitals
growth and status. The students visited different department and
sections of hospital like reception, floor ward, and administration,
general ward, ICU, sterile dept, central drug store department,
billing dept etc. The various equipment, departments and its
applications were also keenly observed by our students.
As part of curriculum Sahyadri College of Pharmacy Methwade
organized industrial visit for the students of third year B. Pharm on
30/01/2019 at UV Aurgen Pharma Pvt. Ltd and Dynamic Remedies
Pvt. Ltd at Satara. The students were visited different department
from store to quality assurance.
In production department they saw various instruments like
punching machine, blenders, dryers and filler.
Also students were visited packaging and labeling department. The
officers of industries were also impressed with involvement of
students to learn various things. Our students have been offered
training and internship. Students got chance to transfer the
theoretical knowledge to practical knowledge in industry.

Alumni meet is conducted and various professional activities
conducted by alumni association Methwade. It is registered
organization under charitable societies act.

The Cell takes special effort to ensure students on right track with
educational and career goals, and helps them to identify the
