SGA Judicial Court

• Who are we?– Nine Justices responsible for “duties of

constitutional interpretation, legislative interpretation, election regulation, and conflict resolution as granted by the Student Government Association Constitution.” (Judicial Court By-Laws)

• What is our role in elections?– To serve as a neutral panel for appeals of

applications of the Election Regulations– To serve as a board of Constitutional review for the

Election Regulations– To formally certify election results

How to File An Appeal

• Go to jcourt.tamu.edu• Click on the “File An Appeal” tab• “A candidate may contest an election no

sooner than after the announcement of unofficial results, and later than forty-eight (48) hours after the unofficial results are posted by filing an appeal with the Judicial Court stating the basis on which the election is contested.” –Election Regulations
