Company:CLAIMAX Engineering Company Ltd, Gujranwala
Introduction.CLAIMAX Engineering Company LTD
manufactures different small and large electrical devices
including Integrated circuits to transformers high duty
generators and home appliances. The organization
provides different electrical tools and appliances. For
example it provides transformers to WAPDA and other
power plants to plant on different areas of requirement.
Also it provides gigantic electric generators, transformers
and motors to different housing schemes and universities
and to other organizations. Fico electric was the part of
CLAIMAX industries. Fico is a well-known organization in
Pakistan. Before the establishment of CLAIMAX
industries. There were three owners of Fico Hi-Tech. All
three were brothers. When CLAIMAX come into
existence at 1 – July – 2011, two brothers take the
ownership of CLAIMAX industries. Now these two
brothers hold the charge of the whole organization and
are independent of Fico Hi-Tech.
Organization’s MissionThe mission of the organization is to provide
best quality products to its costumer. The CEO of this
organization said
“The organization is not going to achieve any of its goal if it
does not include to satisfy its costumers at the most priority
since the organization runs due to its costumer and not due to
its employees although employees also matters but not that
much.”
Along with that they do want to make a good name in the era
by contributing positively in the society.
They aimed that they will make even cheaper products for
there costumers. The company is developing products and
distributing it nationwide they have a wide range of
products from which the customer can chose what
matches best with his status. The company creates new
products yearly just for the large variation so that the
products keep on evolving and keep its pace in the world
which changes so rapidly. The other important mission
that the company focuses on is to offer employment, the
time in which it is difficult for an individual to find a well
stable job the company tries to open vacancies by starting
new projects just to hire more people so they can get
benefits during the times in which the nation economy
suffers. The company holds a mission to introduce itself
globally and for that to achieve the company never slows
down its pace and keep on working and motivating the
employee to give their best to achieve the targets that they
have set to keep the whole management working at their
best. The company work on management by objectives,
they set specific goals that should be met in a specific time
period to measure their efficiency accuracy.
Planning and Strategies.Planning of all the projects is done
under the surveillance of two brothers. They conduct
meetings with the in-charge of each department. The
company has categorized itself in different departments
one is the accounts department which is overlooking on
the revenue and is continuously studying the net incomes
and outcomes daily so that they can keep record about
what is becoming consumed, in how much amount of cash
the raw material is purchased and what they are getting
form the market as a result of their product sale. Then
there is a department which make sure that everything
they are getting from their supplier is optimum in all its
aspects. This is the same department which make sure
the quality meets the organization standards. All the plans
and strategies are made in an open meeting where
account persons discuss the financial condition of the
organization and the production team puts their demands
to run their plan and strategies. In this approach the
persons who planes the something new know what their
financial condition is and how they can optimize their
planes. If we put the planning style of the organization it
seems as given under.
All of the main persons of the firm discuss the whole condition
of the organization and then they made an optimal decision
which is feasible under those circumstances. There are some
other factors that are discussed in the meeting which are not
the part of the organization but they do have effect on the
planning and execution of the plans and these factors are
external factors which includes Government policies, Federal
Laws, Labor Union and some private NGOs. They may influence
running plans and can even stop them. This is a very critical
situation since the organization has spent lots of money and on

their plans and if these factors stop their plans then this will be
the huge loss to the organization. So in this meeting they do
discuss this element too and come-up with different solutions
and which solution fits the most they just chose that one and
work one that plan. They do make contact with some of these
factors to make sure that they are not violating any of the rules
that are set by these institutes. Most of the plans of the
organization are short terms from 8 to 10 months. Fico launch
this sort of short term plans more than one and they are
directed to achieve a certain type of goat which is a long term
plan as a consequence.
Costumer and CompetitorsIf you have costumers then you do have competitors. This
organization also have some of the most active competitors
that attract the people towards them as magnets by providing
them unique offers with their products. Some of its competitors
are Nizam Electric Work, Transfopower Institute (Pvt.) LTD and
ZGL and these companies do have a well repute in this field. To
make its costumers satisfied with it Fico has to pay special
attention on the demands and the trends of costumers and the
modern era and it did do that very well. Costumers of Fico from
all around the Pakistan and from Asia including Afghanistan,
Iran and Saudi Arab. Most of its products are sell with in the
country. One of the most active costumer that Fico has is
NEPCO which purchases transformers, motors and gigantic
generators. WAPDA was one of their very active costumer few
years ago but is has left it now and is moved to its competitors.
It also sells its products to different housing schemes, hospitals,
Universities, and small and large industries. Fico know how it
can attract its costumer back to its products. The basic targets
of Fico are constructors of housing schemes and industries
since it knows that these industries and housing schemes are
not complete without electric supply and for electric supply
there is a need of transformers, generators and motors so it
targets the constructors of these things.

Every department have their specific handler that perform
the task given to them by the management and doesn’t
have the authority to interfere into the work of other
department as the departments are so linked to each
other. The organization tend to keep a friendly
environment for the employees the company have his own
set of ethics and rules that the worker have to follow as it
is the rules and regulation that makes a human distinct for
animals.
If there is any problem in the organizations department the
employee is advised to report it to
Its department head then it is the responsibility of the
manager of the department to address the seniors with
any alarming situation. If the issue is not of such important
the manager of the department keeps the write to fix it on
its on without notifying it to the senior management.
As the company have faith and are aware that they have
experience persons who can tackle small difficulties
without making it a big issue, this distribution of power in
the employees and manager is the thing which keep them
motivated and satisfied that they also holds some
independent moral duties which doesn’t make them feel
vulnerable.
Decision Making Process.Decision
making process is one of the biggest factor that decide what is
going to be with the organization. If the decision is good then
the outcomes are also good and if not then the organization
have to pay for it. Good decisions can lead the organization to
good results and better financial position as well as good
reputed company. At the same time if the decisions are dull
and useless then this will lead the organization to a failure that
is it can result very bad results and off-course the financial
conditions might be destabilized due to that wrong decision
and can cause lose its name in the markets as well as its shares
in the markets. Fico is very clear to this that is it know that what
are the results of good decisions and the bad decisions if it
make bad decisions then its competitors will took advantages.
Fico makes its decisions very wisely considering the needs of its
costumer and changing technology and trends. The company
mostly follows and tries to amend the maximax decision
approaches, as they want the outcomes to be the best of the
best. This decision-making approach helps the company to
always input by keeping the max output in mind. This can be
one of the best decision making approaches for any company
as no one want to make a less beneficial decision.
The company has a set of programmed solution for the routine
issues that they face very often and have instead develop
strategies to minimize the routine error and hurdle. The
company is yet to see any problem they don’t have solution for
but their decision making committee is very efficient and hope
that every decision should be in mutual favor for both the
parties (Management & Employees)
The manager of the companies and the CEO believes that for
making decision they have to inhabit both linear and non-linear
thinking styles, as it will be in the best interest for the company.
The managers believe that after the complete information
about the issue the problem can be addressed or else the
decision will return zero efficiency and will be also be time
consuming and at the end everything will be null and void
which a company can’t take as an answer. The company tries its
level best to avoid the 12 most common decision making errors
given in the figure below.
Motivation.Motivation is a key to hard work and ultimately to success.
Environments with democratic leaders often yield followers with high morale who are more motivated to generate and offer up creative solutions, and it produces an atmosphere of cooperation and team spirit.
The democratic leadership style is also known as the "participative" leadership style because it depends on employee participation. The goal of a democratic leader is to foster employee investment in the organization by investing workers in their role in the company.
The company motivates the employee in an intriguing ways as every employee wants to feel that their job makes a difference. If an employee feels like his/her work doesn’t mean anything or isn’t actually contributing, most likely he will not be motivated
to even accomplish the task. As an employer, ensure that a majority, if not all, of your employees’ tasks have a direct benefit or contribution to the overall success of your company. Strategically created tasks that directly affect the company will energize and motivate the employee to perform to their best ability.
The company notices their efforts and appreciates them, as appreciation can be a simple “good job” or “nice work.” It will only take a few moments out of your day to show your employees that you notice their outstanding work.
They also motivate them by showing their trust on them, that they trust their employees to make the right decisions for the overall well-being of the company. To an extent, allow the employee to be creative in their job tasks.
Controlling.Control is a management process to aim at achieving defined goals within an established timetable, and comprises of three components setting standards, measuring actual performance, and taking corrective action.
By our observation and what we were told we see following controls in the company.
1- The company has establishing standards and methods for measuring performance to which extend the company is
progressing and measuring the performance of the employee and the standard that they have maintained
2- Determining whether performance matches the standard It is an easy but important step in the control process. It involves comparing measured results with the standards already set.If performance matches the standard, managers may assume that “everything is under control”. In such a case the managers do not have to intervene in the organization’s operations.
if the company sees that there are performance issue or if performance falls short of standards and the analysis indicates that corrective action is required. The corrective action could involve a change in one or more activities of the organization’s operations.
As per Financial Control can be analyzed the company is not facing any serious financial problems and is running smoothly as much as they can go and performing their best to create maximum revenue.
But as the operational control in concerned every operation in the company is under supervision as if the result or product the company make have any kind to quality issues than the operational control start working to identifying and overcome the problem or problems which cause the company operations to go sideways.
The company overseas everything and tries that the organization's objectives and methods are capable to achieve the objectives that are established.

Information Storage and Analysis

systems store, update and even analyze the information, which the company can then use to pinpoint solutions to current or future problems. Furthermore, these systems can integrate data from various sources, inside and outside the company, keeping the company up to date with internal performance and external opportunities and threats.
Assist With Making Decisions
The long-term success of a company depends upon the adequacy of its strategic plans. An organization’s management team uses information systems to formulate strategic plans and make decisions for the organization's longevity and prosperity. The business uses information systems to evaluate information from all sources, including information from external references which provide information on the general economy. This analysis of and comparison to market trends helps organizations analyze the adequacy and quality of their strategic decisions.
Assist With Business Processes
Information systems aid businesses in developing a larger number of value added-systems in the company. Information systems add controls to employee processes, ensuring that only users with the applicable rights can perform certain tasks. Further, information systems eliminate repetitive tasks and increase accuracy, allowing employees to concentrate on more high-level functions. Information systems can also lead to better project planning and implementation through effective monitoring and comparison against established criteria.
Joining the company or not.As far as joining the company is concern there are
different opinions of the group mates.
Mohsin Ashraf.Well there is no doubt that the organization is outstanding
and providing its employees international level facilities. Since I am a Student of software major there is no need of a developer as such. Although they do run some software there but these things do not include the coding or thinking as programmers do. More than that I do want to work at Antarctic medical research lab in the icy land I just love that place I haven’t visited that place but I dreamt to work over there as a DNA modeling engineer.
Faizan Amjad.I would love to work at google or amazon because these
are the multinational companies and are up-to date in this field the employees at these places solve complex problems on daily bases and other than that the facilities that this organization provide are matchless. I won’t joint Fico Electric (Pvt.) LTD.
Hamza Ishaq.I would prefer to join this organization since this
organization has lots of physical work to do and I love to work physically.
Aftab Ahmad.I would join any of the software house which suits me and
will work there since my major is software engineering so I won’t like to join the firm where there is no need of software developers.
