Overview:Now in its 16th year, this intensive interactive course examines the key problems and prioritiesindisastersituationsastheyrelatetothemostvulnerablevictimsofdisasters.This course provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to effectively address the complex medical, psychosocial and public health challenges facing children, women and familiesaffectedbyhumanitarianemergencies.Inaddition,theimportanceofidentifyingcultural components to both population-based and clinical interventions is emphasized throughoutthiscourse.Byofferingasolidmixofdidacticlecturesandproblem-basedlearning exercises targeted at a variety of skill levels, this course provides the preparation youneedtoeffectivelyworkonbehalfofvulnerablepopulationsinadisastersetting.Youwillleavethiscourseinspiredtolearnmore.

Overview:Now in its 16th year, this intensive interactive course examines the key problems and prioritiesindisastersituationsastheyrelatetothemostvulnerablevictimsofdisasters.This course provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to effectively address the complex medical, psychosocial and public health challenges facing children, women and familiesaffectedbyhumanitarianemergencies.Inaddition,theimportanceofidentifyingcultural components to both population-based and clinical interventions is emphasized throughoutthiscourse.Byofferingasolidmixofdidacticlecturesandproblem-basedlearning exercises targeted at a variety of skill levels, this course provides the preparation youneedtoeffectivelyworkonbehalfofvulnerablepopulationsinadisastersetting.Youwillleavethiscourseinspiredtolearnmore.
