1) Human beings depend on the environment

Page 3: Man and Environment

From biological perspective

Biotic (living) components cannot survive in isolation, They must interact with physical or abiotic (non-living) environments.

Page 4: Man and Environment

Human life depend on:• Temperature• Shelter• Natural resources = substances and energy sources

needed for survival• Renewable natural resources: can be replenished– Perpetually renewed: sunlight, wind, wave energy– Renew themselves over short periods: timber, water,

soil• Nonrenewable natural resources: unavailable after

depletion– These can be destroyed– Oil, coal, minerals

Page 5: Man and Environment

• Ecosystem services: arise from the normal functioning of natural services– Purify air and water, cycle nutrients, regulate climate– Pollinate plants, receive and recycle wastes

Page 6: Man and Environment

Human degrade ecosystem services and create a environmental problem

By depleting resources, destroying habitat, generating pollution

Increased human affluence has intensified degradation

2) Human being need to adopt & modify environment

• Don’t disturb the nature • Conserve water• Conserve energy• Grow more trees• Recycle the wastage• Ban the polythene• Use renewable resources• Save electricity• Reduce the toxic waste• Decrease usage rate of vehicles

3) Factors which affects on the climate and weather of Pakistan

• As Pakistan has, it's latitude and longitude is about 30 N and 70 E which makes it temperature fairly warm.

Page 10: Man and Environment

• Deforestation• Establishment of waters Dams• Disturbing the way of river• Geographical position• Melting of glaciers• Environmental pollution• Usage of harmful technologies e. g.

Drone Attacks, Booms, Machine Guns etc. • Solar Radiations• Flood, Earth quack, • Lack of proper place for wastage of factories

Conclusion

“Humanity is dependent upon an earth incapable of supporting infinite demands, and capable both of being improved and of being damaged by the way in which it is used”
