GENERAL NOTES

Situation

Brookfield Farm lies west of Longford Village and is best approached from Sutton on the Hill from the south or alternatively Long Lane/Longford. From Sutton on the Hill and School Piece Lane travel north on Longford Lane signed for Longford. Pass Barton Blount on the left and travel round the bend at Barton Fields and continue north for approximately 1 ½ miles. The farm lies on the right. From the centre of Alkmonton take Long Lane towards Longford and Derby and after approximately 1 ½ miles turn right into Sutton Lane towards Sutton on the Hill. Continue down the lane for ¾ mile with Brookfield Farm lying the first property on the left. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Conditions of Sale – Bagshaws usual farm sale conditions of sale shall apply at this sale, copies of which are available from the Town offices or the on site sale office.

Cash – Under the money laundering regulations the auctioneers are unable to accept cash in sums greater than €15,000 (or its Sterling equivalent). Please contact the auctioneers to discuss methods of cash payment prior to the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at 5th March 2017. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers. Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

This genuine dispersal sale arises as a result of Mr David King finishing active farming on the holding and many locals will know that all the livestock were sold over a year ago. The Kubota tractor was purchased new and many of the feeders and barriers are little used and in very good order. In addition, several local vendors have included items and buyers should attend and bid with confidence at this genuine small dispersal.
