On behalf of the committee members of the Malaysian Sterile Service Association (MSSA) I would like to welcome everyone to participate in the 20th Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. The theme for this year is “Sterilization is Globalization for the Future”.

The sterilization industry has evolved over the years and we, in the sterilization departments have witnessed much change in the industry, especially in areas of organization, policies and packaging techniques. Today’s sterilization departments are highly technical with modern and sophisticated equipment and tools, managed by teams of professional and ef�cient managers. CSSD techniques and practice have to keep pace with the changes in the industry to maintain standards and ensure ef�cacy as the CSSD has become the heart of the hospital.

I hope all of you attending this Conference will bene�t from the lectures and take back information to help you to further upgrade sterilization services to those under your care.
